My fiance and I had never been to Rockport and we absolutely loved this charming, quiet, beautiful, fishing town. The hotel was a perfect choice for our weekend getaway. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They gave us perfect directions to our destinations and recommended a romantic, quiet restaurant called, "Charlotte Plummers." We ate outside where you could watch the boats come in. The moon that night was nothing like I had ever seen. It was huge and a reddish/orange overlooking the water. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing time.

Anyways, back to the hotel... The rooms are very, very clean and the bedding/linens are wonderful! An upscale addition for sure. We slept wonderful on these luxurious sheets! The whole room/bathroom was spotless and we didn't hear a pin drop the whole night. Breakfast the next day was perfect. Many different choices that would delight anyone's palate.

We absolutely fell in love with the city of Rockport. The residents that lived in the town were very friendly people and this is the place to go if you need some relaxation. Not a lot of hustle and bustle, thank God... This is just what we were looking for!

This motel has big clean modern rooms. It was resonably priced, too. The staff was very helpful with a problem connecting to the internet (our fault). When a phone call didn't help, someone came right to our room and we solved the problem. They have a nice free breakfast buffet with hot cinnamon rolls. There are even fresh baked warm cookies for a late afternoon snack.

Hotel is located on a busy main road across from the bay with not much of a view. There are better choices in Rockport.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Rockport and didn't expect too much, but were pleasantly surprised. We could park right in front of the room, they provided a crib for the little one, and it was all very clean and neat. It was great having the fridge and microwave in the room as well.
The location was the best thing about it, as it's not even a mile away from the main beach (you'll probably need to still drive across there unless you enjoy walking in the Texas heat :) Please remember Texas beaches are not very impressive although the one here in Rockport is the only certified Blue Wave beach and not too bad - actually very clean and well looked after. The continental breakfast was a lot more than the standard and ended our stay on a very nice note.
