This place is waiting to be discovered by Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. It is sort of all three. If you are tired of cookie cutter burger joints, this is about as far from that as it gets.
I visited because of TA recommendations, but also found the locals I met were very familiar with the place.
It is old, homey, or maybe homely, but the food was very good. Lots of burgers, including one with four patties and four hunks of cheese. (No lipitor on the side either.)
I had the "classic" and it was ample. Could of used a few extra fries, but well, it was good LARGE meal as it was.
They also serve some meals that they described as Atkins friendlly. One was covered in gravy, so I can only conclude that Akins must be a local cardiologist trolling the parking lot . Good simple food, friendly enough staff, and kind of a funky old environment. If I move there, I will go again.
