This is all my fault for staying here since I failed to read the Trip Advisor reviews. What a mistake! Many of the reviews are right on target. The owner of this motel apparently has a different set of standards for cleaniness. The outside of the hotel should have warned us. The stairs to the second floor are rusted and dirty. The hallway carpet is stained, dirty and ripped. Some locks on outside doors are completely missing. We found no type of security in place as anyone can walk in off the street and go througout the hotel. The hotel smells like old cooked foreign food.It appears the owners are not spending anything much for upkeep and nothing for repairs. One of the cleaning carts sat outside our room into the evening hours. We never saw anyone nor was any cleaning done. The outside are by the swimming pool is very dirty. Gates to the swimming pool were open and unlocked thus creating a severe safety issue. Once again anyone can walk in off the street to the area. The price I paid for this hotel for far too much compared to the lack of quality. Don't let the name fool you---"Quality Inn". There was a better looking Hampton Inn across the parking lot and a good looking Motel 6 down the street. Motel 6 billboard advertized $49 rooms. We paid $74.

I stayed at this place over the weekend of Aug 25th. This has been one of the worst hotels i have ever been too. You walk in the place all you smell is india food. I suppose if you like that kinda food you wouldn't mind it. The first room they gave us must have had 200 flys in it. I went back down to the receptionist and asked to change rooms. The second room was a little better still the place is a dump. The pool looks like your swimming in a tea cup that the color of the water. Looks to me like a family from India bought the place and are running it. Good luck
If i didn't book though hotels.com I would have asked for my money back in a heart beat

This hotel is not a Three star Hotel as some travel sites claim....from the rusted out entry ways, to the broken gym machines....to the worn out middle paths in the carpet in the main halls this hotel is in bad need of a face lift...It is much closer to a very old one star Motel Six then any three star hotel we have every stayed in....

Stayed for one night Aug 5th with another couple. Was supposed to get a non-smoking room with a king sized bed. We both checked in around 8:30 pm and the desk clerk repeated that we had a king sized bed. After check in we went to dinner without first checking our rooms. When we returned to the hotel at around 10pm my bf and myself were both tired and went to our room. I was surprised that we only had 1 full sized bed in the room. The AC also wasn't working properly and the faucet in the tub leaked. Since we were tired and it was only one night we stayed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others.

My family and I stayed at the Quality Inn in Brattleboro, Vermont from July 3-5, 2006, in 3 rooms. My first impression was that the dingy carpeting in the hallways really made the place look run-down. The room was otherwise clean in appearance, although the beds were kind of "dippy" in the middle. Our room smelled faintly of gym socks, but once the air conditioning kicked in, the smell pretty much went away. Oh, and I always carry a little spray bottle of fabric freshener in my travel bag...

Early our first morning, probably around 4:30 am, the smoke detector started chirping, signalling a low battery. My sister called the front desk, who told her there was nobody there to fix it but somebody would come and stop the noise. They came and removed the whole front and took it away. It was never returned during our stay.

When we came back to the room before going out to dinner, we found that our room hadn't been cleaned. The other rooms in our party had been. We called, they apologized, and sent someone in to clean while we were at dinner.

When we checked out the next day, my sister mentioned the problems we had had, and no offer was made to compensate us. We probably should have made more of a fuss, but we are both very non-confrontational. I really have to work on that!

My brother and father had none of these problems in their rooms, so perhaps this was a very isolated incidence. The breakfast buffet is reasonably nice. They charge to $5 for 15 minutes to use the computer in the lobby. I leave it for you to decide if that's reasonable or not. My email just wasn't that important!

There's a Hampton Inn directly across the parking lot from this hotel, which looks newer. It is owned by the same person who owns this Comfort Inn...
