Rude and dysfunctional! My family and I have been eating at Sarkis since before it was located downtown and have never been disappointed in the fifteen years, or so, of being a customer. However, the past few times we have eaten there have been, needless to say, disgusting and repulsive. The tabouli was COMPLETELY fermented, the hoummos was sour and gritty, the lamb was so rotten I could smell it from within my wrap, and the grapeleaves (which use to be amazing) were bland and tasteless and not worth the $6 they cost for 4 or them. On top of bad food, the service was twice as bad. The employees were outright rude and treated me as if I were interrupting or bothering them. The two older women working really need an attitude adjustment and basic common courteously. Not only was I treated in this manner, but so were the customers in front and behind me. I will never go back here, especially considering they haven't had a health inspection in over 2 years. Sadly, the food, customer service friendliness, and the overall experience of Sarkis has been tainted with rude service, rotten food, and a dull environment. The biggest shame here, as it seems, is a lack of caring and the inability of the current employees to maintain and uphold a certain standard of professionalism, accuracy, and a simple level of human kindness.
