Stayed here for 2 nights with a large group of people. The Inn Keeper was very unwelcoming. First of all he closed the bar early on Friday night when people were still arriving then didn't open it all on Saturday night. We basically had the whole inn to ourselves but he seemed to freak out at the fact that people might actually enjoy themselves in the lounge around the fireplace. He did not like kids either but anyone who comes to Magic Mountain has kids anyway.
Sunday morning he cleaned up breakfast at 9am on the nose even though we "sprung ahead" Sat night. Would not put food out for anyone that was 5mins late.

Nice place but the Inn Keeper was a jerk. Upon leaving we were calling it the Magic Federal Penitentiary.

We had a great experience at the Inn during our trip to Vermont. We were a group of 5 in three rooms. The rooms are fairly decent in size with an extra room in the back that is useful for kids/teenagers. The rooms were very clean and fresh, and the beds are very comfortable.

We stayed in a room with a front view, which has an added bonus of a shared terrace, or porch which might not be too important in the winter. There’s nothing more romantic than looking out from the window and seeing 5ft long frozen icicles forming from the roof, and snuggling back in bed!

The Inn has a comfortable public lounge with a fire place, perfect for those frigidly cold winter nights. And a well stocked bar with knowledgably bartenders adds a lot. At the time we were there the innkeeper told us that all calls to anywhere in the US is free, an amenity which mean a lot if you leave the kids back home...

The Inn is at the foot of Magic Mountain, and not far from Bromely and Stratton. We chose Bromely, where the learners program was terrific ( TIP: there’s no need to take ‘one on one’ lessons during the week, as the groups tend to be small anyway, and you can get almost the same personal attention – the staff there are excellent).

The Inn staff helped us with direction to the local eateries and more. And they were most accommodating, relaxed and informative. Highly recommended!

My family and I plus dog stayed at this Inn\Motel over the Christmas weekend to go skiing, the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The rooms were clean and there was even a small bunk room for my 2 young children which they loved, enabling them to have their own little space. The place serves continental breakfast which was adequate but nothing spectacular but our overall experience was a very positive one.

I stayed here winter of 2007- I arrived in the middle of a blizzard. No restaurant on premise- luckily the pizza place down the hill took pity on me and delivered a pizza b/c I was starving from the white-knuckle drive up to the mountains. Room (#1) and bathroom were both clean and a good size. Bathroom had newer fixtures, probably from the inn's renovation. There was a smallish flatscreen TV, and free wireless & long distance calling. Door was blocked by the bedspread of one of the beds though. Also, walls were paper thin so all night, the vent & automatic paper towel dispenser in the public bathroom next door could be heard clearly, as well as the revelers in the common room pub. The blizzard trapped in our car and the inn had no plans on clearing their parking lot or driveway...the innkeeper summoned a bulldozer to dig us out, which was very nice of him but upon our return later, the rest of the parking lot was still not plowed. Continental breakfast was plentiful w/ pastries, coffee & juice. The inn is within walking distance of Magic Mtn and about a 15-20 minute drive to Bromley or Stratton. Great restaurant down the road in Londonderry called the Mill Tavern. All in all, ok place to stay in if you are not picky.

“Nice place for a short stay”

We stayed for a Friday and Saturday. We were greeted warmly, and the room we reserved was ready for us and in good order. The rooms are somewhat newly renovated, with most of the efforts spent on the bathroom fixtures. The bathroom was clean, but was missing the heating vent cover, and the toilet paper holder was unreachable to anyone except for adults - a relatively minor issue.

The continental breakfast was very nice, with assorted fresh fruit and muffins, cereals, etc. It was in place promptly, and well stocked. There is a common room for watching TV, playing games, and warming by the fire.

Convenience-wise, you can walk to the slopes for down hill skilling, or drive 5-10 minutes to the Nordic Viking center for cross-country skiing. Restruant choices were a bit slim, but adaquate.
