stayed here 2 nights prior to moving on to a B&B ( we had previously made reservations there ) I really don't know where some of the other reviewers stayed but we found the place perfect with very reasonable rates durning the week. The rooms were fine and if you are looking for high end luxury stay at the Equinox and pay champagne rates............The included breakfast was just fine to start a day of sking and a 2 min walk to the slopes from the equiptment room was great. location, location folks - best in the area. The new owners are very friendly and accomodating and allowed us to park and leave our gear at the hotel despite staying elsewhere! Also, the entire hotel is being upgraded -takes time guys - and again the new owners are doing their best with a property that really need some fixing. In the mean time give em a chance-you will not regret it!

We stayed for 5 days and had a wonderful time. The people that worked there were quit pleasent and the conveinience can't be beat. Everything we needed was there at the hotel or at the ski lodge. Not a big resort but I can't say enough about the way the staff gave genuine concern and attention to our special requests. Our children can't wait to go back. We'll certainly go back again.

“The Worst Place We've Ever Stayed”

We are still sick about shelling out $250 a night for the worst place we've ever stayed. Where should I begin? The stained and burned carpeting everywhere? The dingy basement and dark staircase? The freezing cold and dirty pool with its door (accurately) marked "Poo"? The beds like slanted wedges of cardboard? Everything filthy and stinking of smoke and mold? This place needs to be sandblasted from the inside out. My kids were disappointed that the "heated" pool was an icy cold 74 degrees, and we were disappointed to spend $250 for a place that was worse than the cheapest $45 motel on a major highway. I guess the owners of the Sun Lodge figure they can get away with it because there will always be innocent tourists who look at their website and think, gee, it would be great to step out and be at the base of the Bromley Mountain ski resort. I'm warning you: Think again. This rundown "lodge" reminded me of that dirty old basement that hasn't been painted, cleaned or updated since 1960 and smells that way.

“Stay Away”

Do everything in your power to stay away from this resort. It was the most disgusting hotel we ever stayed at in our lives. The carpeting in our room was stained, the paint is peeling, the beds were atrocious, the food was awful, the plumbig fixtures were falling apart, it smelled. The only thing positive I can say is that it was a good location right next to the mountain. But do yourself a favor, stay a few minutes away and do not waste your money on this piece of junk.

I booked this Hotel on the internet before I saw the reviews which left me slightly worried considering I was traveling 3500 miles from England on a skiing trip.

I am happy to report that my stay at Sun Lodge was a most enjoyable one. This is not a faceless hotel from on of the big chains, Sun Lodge is a personal hotel where you are treated as a friend.

The Doria family who own and run the hotel made us feel very welcome and at home. The Hotel was clean warm and comfortable, the Doria philosiphy is to make their hotel family friendly giving the kids scope to enjoy themselves and the parents the opportunity to chill out. They succeed in doing that.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Sun lodge, so much so that I intend to return with a party of Skiers from the UK.
