La Quinta Inn (formerly the comfort inn ) are in the process of changing and improving things. This wasn't a problem for us.

We got a great deal with priceline on the room. The service from the staff was amazing. We needed extra pillows, took 3 minutes to have them deliver.

Where we were disapointed is how clean was the bathroom, with hair from the previous person on the shower wall.. the bath was dirty and stain.

Since we got the room for half the rack rate it wasn't too frustrating but if we paid full price I would have been pissed.

The picture on the website is misleading as it is pretty near a main road but our room was away from this so no problem. The room was quite small but adequate for overnight.
We had a meal at a Best Western hotel about 150 yards down the road to the left of the hotel (coming out), you needed to cross the road, it was almost down a side road but two great options either a dining room with booths downstairs or upstairs in the bar with TV's and presumably used by locals, we chose the above as the Red Sox were playing a game, the food was fine, nothing fancy, but good value.
The hotel breakfast was comp. and not a bad selection only small diing area though so need to "stake your claim", there is internet access in the foyer.

First of all, the picture here on TripAdvisor is NOT the same place! This hotel is on the busy Williston Road - which is fine, that is where I wanted to be.

We visited the area to check out the University of Vermont and since it is a long way from home, we drove up the day before.

The front desk check-in was quick and easy, with a personable attendant (even though the place was sold out).

The ONLY reason I give this place an average rating is the same thing the former poster mentioned. The room smelled slighty of smoke. Not overpowering or a real problem, but when you enter the room it is noticeable. Also, it is not a 5 star hotel, but you don't expect that when you book here!

It was very clean and comfortable. The room is wi-fi-ed, which was a nice convenience. There is a complimentary breakfast in the morning which is quite nice (the usual spread - waffle maker, fruit, cereal, danish & breads) to sit down to.

The greatest advatage to this hotel is PRICE! This was less than half of what the other places were charging. I paid $89.00 per night (without taxes). The next place charged $179.00! and others went up from there!

We stayed at the La Quinta in South Burlington for one night and were less than impressed. The first room that we were given had a broken toilet and reeked of smoke- even thought it was non-smoking. We were promptly given a second room with a functioning bathroom but the same smoky, musty smell. I think that all the rooms smelled that way. The bathroom wasn't especially clean. We stayed on the 1st floor and I was a bit surprised at how unsecured the windows seemed. The lock consisted of a stick in the non-opening side.

It was okay for one night, but rather over priced for very modest accommodations.
