The Fairfield Inn was everything I expected for the price: a basic hotel room which was very clean and contemporary. We just needed overnight accommodations, so perhaps our expectations weren't as high as they might otherwise have been. Plus, we'd checked other lodging options in the area (including other Marriott properties -- a Townplace Suites, Courtyard, and Residence Inn) and the next cheapest option was $70 per night more than the Fairfield Inn.
Our real only complaint was the paper-thin walls. The hotel was booked to capacity on the night we stayed and so we were lucky to have considerate neighbors on every side, but still! We could hear every word of their conversations even though they were spoken in a normal tone of voice. It made me wonder what they could hear of ours.
Our only other minor complaint was the size of the breakfast room. I suppose the fact that the hotel was completely booked was unusual, but it still seemed like poor planning. And there are always those inconsiderate folks who have a table, have finished eating, but still want to finish reading their newspaper, while hoards stand around them with full breakfast plates in hand and nowhere to sit.
