I recently had dinner at the Milan Restaurant in Charlottesville, Va. The restaurant is just a few steps away from the Comfort Inn on Rt.29. I was hungry and tired when I arrived at the hotel. I took the easiest route to a meal and walked over there from the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dinner I ordered. I am not a stranger to Indian food -- having been to several Indian restaurants in my home town. This place was as good ,or better ,than what I have had at the restaurants at home. The Chicken Tikka Masala I ordered was delicious. It had just the right amount of spice-- it was a little "hot" but not overpoweringly hot. The chicken was done just right -- still tender and juicy in its tomato and cream sauce. My husband had the tandoori sampler -- and he was just as pleased with his dinner as I was with mine. The prices for dinner were right in line with what you would expect from a nice restaurant with white tablecloths and a pleasant atmosphere. I would eat at Milan regularly if I lived nearby. If you like Indian food and a nice atmosphere -- pay this place a visit when you are in Charlottesville.
