My husband and I needed some time to ourselves away from all the hustle and bustle of our lives in the Northern VA area. This was the perfect place to get away as it is a short drive from DC and the drive is beautiful. We just recently got married and were in desperate need of alone time. We had the most amazing 2 days here at the Foxfield. Beautiful, clean, delicious breakfast and soooo serene. We spent our time shopping around downtown, eating in amazing recommended restaurants from Mary Pat, sleeping, relaxing in the Jacuzzi tub, and even visited a few of the wonderful wineries in the area. This was the best quality time we have ever spent together as a married couple. Thank you Mary Pat and John for making our weekend exactly what we needed. Your Inn is a very special place and we will be back to visit. Thanks for having us!

My wife and I stayed here on February 17-19, and could not have had a more perfect stay. When we arrived on Sunday afternoon, we were greeted promptly at the door by Mary Pat, and she immediately showed us to our room to drop off our luggage. Shen then took time to give us a detailed tour and overview of the Inn, explaining where everything was, and how everything worked. She then recommened a fanastic restaurant (Duner's - GREAT place, and very close by) for us.

The following morning we enjoyed an incredible breakfast - far better than anything that could ever be offered at any ol' restaurant. Mary Pat had prepared homemade scones, which were just ridiculously good, followed by delicious pancakes. Talk about an amazing way to start your day!!

We were then provided with maps and brochures to assist in our day of wine tasting in the area. When we returned, we were given another great restaurant recommendation (BIZOU - great, casual restaurant... top notch food), and perfect directions to get there.

Everything about the Foxfield Inn is top class. The rooms are exactly as described on the website, and are in perfect shape upon arrival. When we got there, we were given a glass of Chardonnay from a local winery. Every night, when we returned to our room, the bed had been turned down for us. There is a coffee bar, where fresh cookies and beverages are always available. There are wine glasses in the room for you to use on any wine you bring or acquire during your stay. There is no detail overlooked - this place truly is perfect.

Mary Pat and John have created the greatest bed and breakfast I've ever been to, and we most certainly look forward to returning in the near future.

My husband booked this as a surprise for my birthday. The drive to the inn was picturesque. The hosts, Mary Pat and John, were incredible warm and friendly. Our room, The Rose Room, was warm and inviting. We spent many hours in front of the fireplace reading and relaxing. We were the only guests in the inn the first night and next day morning. We enjoyed lounging around in the sunroom after breakfast reading the newspaper. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the recommendations from Mary Pat and John and had fantastic dinners both evenings, great lunches, and fun shopping experiences. As a surprise, my husband booked a massage therapist who came & set up in the room. It is a toss-up what I enjoyed more-the outdoor jacuzzi or the massage. It was an incredible weekend!

We chose the Foxfield Inn mostly because of the reviews we found on TripAdvisor. The outstanding reviews of this lovely B&B are more than well deserved. We stayed in the romantic Hunt Country room which was true to its description found on the Foxfield's website. There was more though - the large room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean and decorated with love and attention to detail. There are little details for your comfort everywhere you look. Mary Pat & John make you feel welcome and comfortable as soon as you walk through the front door. Mary Pat's cooking is delicious and made with the same attention and care that she uses to take care of the Inn. This was our first B&B experience - I believe we've been spoiled! The location is great too - you're just enough in the sprawling countryside of Charlottesville, VA, to enjoy quiet, beauty and wildlife, but only 5 miles from a great selection of activities, restaurants and more. We honestly can't find anything to not like about our experience. Definitely stay here!
