We have just returned from traveling in Virginia. We stayed at the Foxfield Inn in Charlottesville, VA as we were heading back home. From the moment you enter the front door at the Foxfield, you are made to feel at home. The grounds are lovely as well as the Inn. The Inn is tastefully furnished and immaculate. We were served a wonderful breakfast! Mary Pat and John are wonderful hosts and are available for any need you may have. If you're in the Charlottesville area, we would definitely recommend you stay at the Foxfield Inn.

Laudatory reviews are fully accurate. The property is well-kept and well-located. The rooms are luxurious. We stayed in the Rose Room and found it terrific. Large jacuzzi in spacious bathroom, very warm gas fireplace, comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. The outdoor spa is a treat. The innkeepers were great. Mary Pat clearly cares about her guests' happiness. My sole complaint is not a minor one, however: as noted in a previous review, noise from neighboring rooms can be a problem and interfere with a romantic evening. This is the reason for the missing fifth star, which by all other accounts is deserved. I mentioned the issue to Mary Pat and she welcomed the complaint in the context of minimizing the problem for future guests. In sum, we (the guests) were both very happy and will gladly return again.

“Another wonderful stay!”

Foxfield Inn

28 Mar 2008

My husband & I had a wonderful stay on Easter week-end. We did not think it would be possible for Mary Pat & John to duplicate the experience we had last time, but they did. From the time you first enter until you leave, when you stay at the Foxfield Inn, you feel as if you are staying with friends.

This time we stayed at the Hunt room which is simply beautiful. We remembered our bathing suits and were able to relax in the hot tub at night after a day of visiting the wineries & enjoying a delicious dinner at a restaurant recommended by Mary Pat.

Breakfast is wonderful and always thoughtfully prepared. There is a fruit course followed by fresh baked muffins or beads and the
hot entree. There was a delicious quiche on Saturday morning which Mary Pat was kind enough to share the recipe for.

Thanks, Mary Pat & John, we had a fabulous time!

Mary Pat and John were terrific hosts of this bed and breakfast. They are so accomodating and are willing to do anything to help you during your stay. I actually planned a proposal for my girlfriend ahead of time and Mary Pat helped me arrange this ahead of time. We had a romantic night that I could not have been happier with!!
If you need restaurant reservations or information for sightseeing, they are there to help you. The breakfast in the morning was great. You are definitely full when you are done.
I would recommend this place to anybody!

“What a relaxing stay!!”

Foxfield Inn

25 Mar 2008

My husband and I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast inn before so this was our first experience and we were not disappointed. The hosts were so warm and welcoming. They had directions ready for us and called restuarants to see if they were open. The rooms were SO comfortable and no details seem to be forgotten (i.e. candle w/ a lighter beside the jacuzzi, piano music, robes & slippers, comfortable pillows, fireplace, great views). The breakfast was wonderful--a home-cooked 3 course meal--started out w/ fresh fruit, then lemon-raspberry struesel muffins (which were so good) and an omelt w/ bacon. We only wish we could have stayed longer--its so relaxing and refreshing and not having a TV in the room helps you relax even more!!
