We chose the Foxfield Inn for a sisters' reunion because of its high rating on Trip Advisor, and we can report that every good thing one reads about the Inn is an understatement. Nothing for the comfort of guests is left to chance. The Inn's location is on a beautiful country road, and John and Mary Pat Hulburt (the innkeepers) have made the most of the country setting with a "tea house" (screened gazebo), hot tub and terrace, and fountain scattered around the grounds for their guests' enjoyment. A birdfeeder right outside our window attracted goldfinches, and we saw a piliated woodpecker fly by one morning. Our room was a spotless charmer, our bathroom was luxurious, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Early morning coffee is available in a quiet corner outside the guest rooms, along with Mary Pat's oatmeal cookies, bottled water, and popcorn. The lovely linens had my sister investigating where she could find them for her own home. John and Mary Pat had well-considered suggestions for local restaurants, and were the perfect hosts in the dining room during the gracious communal breakfast. I asked my sister if she would meet me at the Foxfield again; she said,,"ANYTIME!!"
