I own a Travel Agency and as a result enjoy "finding" great little places for myself...and my clients. The Foxfield Inn is just such a place. Unlike many B&B's, Foxfield is a NEW home and in perfect condition.

The innkeepers Mary Pat and John provide a most welcoming atmosphere and add so many special touches (a lighter in the bathroom for the candle on the tub!) that you feel very pampered.

We stayed in the Garden Room which had lovely views of the Garden and Gazebo and a nice little porch right outside the room.

Breakfasts were yummy and the overall atmosphere DELIGHTFUL!

We were warmly greeted and shown to the "Rose" room which had a great view of the landscaped grounds and a large well appointed bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Both were tastefully decorated as was the entire Inn. After a short tour and explanation of the many amenities available to their guests, we were offered a glass of wine from a local winery. It was a perfect start to an absolutely wonderful 3 day stay at the Foxfield Inn. Our gracious hosts, John and Mary Pat, offered excellent dining and touring suggestions and made us feel welcome and pampered. Each morning, tea, coffee, hot chololate and bottled water were offered prior to the delicious full breakfast served in an elegant and inviting setting. In the evening, there were fresh baked cookies. Having stayed at many B&Bs and Country Inns, without reservation, we can say that the Foxfield Inn was the finest experience we've had to date. We highly recommend it.

We recently spent 3 nights in the Hunt Country room and I must say, this Bed and Breakfast Inn was everything others had written about it. Mary Pat and John were excellent hosts! Both were extremely helpful, courteous, and just a pleasure to speak with overall. The Hot tub was splendid, the grounds were well cared for, the Inn was situated in an excellent location; not too close to Charlottesville downtown area but not too far away either. The Inn makes a great location as "homebase" while you see Montpelier, Monticello, the downtown Mall, and all the vineyards. There is an abundance of bottled water that is provided and the breakfasts by Mary Pat are excellent. I have traveled quite a bit and I'm not a huge fan of B&Bs to begin with; this was for my girlfriend's birthday. But I will say that this experience at this establishment ensures that should I ever return to Charlottesville, this will most certainly be the place I will stay! thank you so much Mary Pat and John!

I highly recommend the Foxfield Inn. The attention to detail and care that the innkpeers take is unprecedented. From the moment we arrived, I felt like we were staying at friend's. They were so open and really paid attention to the fine details. They really wanted us to have a relaxing time in Charlottesville and at their B & B. Would highly recommend it and would like to return.

Overall I would say this is probably the best Bed and Breakfast we have ever stayed in. We chose the Foxfield Inn for the location (close to several wineries and historical attractions like Montpelier and Monticello) and we wanted a romantic location to stay at versus the hustle/bustle of a hotel. We enjoyed everything about the Inn and would stay here again if our travel bring us to the area.
The Blue Ridge Parkway, University, and downtown are just minutes away yet you feel as if you are in the quiet country.
Our hosts, Mary Pat and John, were very gracious and made our stay memorable.
The restaurants we tried were great. Duners is a must and we dined there twice during the 4 days we were there.
The quality of the Inn, the accommodations, the five star breakfasts, and the hospitality we encountered made this vacation trip one of our finest.
