I stayed at Anixis Hotel on August 2007.

Hotel director was awaiting for us at the port (I recommand to reconfirm your arrival date and time). Do not panick if you don't see him with his shuttle, he will probably be waiting for you a little bit appart from the port, because it is verrrrrry crowded. I highly recommend to use this transfer (included in the price), otherwise it must be difficult to find the hotel by yourself, especially with your heavy luggage ;-)

Hotel is located on top of Hora, you've got this feeling you're actually on top of the world. We had a large balcony, view from our room was breathtaking ! View from the breakfast room was the same, very nice. I recommend to spend a few more euros and ask for these sea-view rooms.

Hotel itself is very calm, confort is ok (but nothing luxury), and location is great, think its best to stay at Hora than on the beaches. 'Cause Naxos'Hora is just great.

We had a great time in Anixis. A nice hotel, close to the Kastro. Quiet in the evening and night and during the day. Friendly people, clean room, nice vieuw on the see.
Breackfast was okay; self service. A lot of flowers in the garden, that bloom in the evening and night. A lovely smell!
If we ever go back to beautiful Naxos will certainly will stay in this hotel.

My girlfriend and I spent 6 nights at Anixis recently. This followed 5 nights in Santorini in a hotel with a beautiful pool, so when the hotel manager, Dimitris, picked us up from the port in the morning and dropped us off we thought "basic but ok". After 6 nights, we did not want to leave.

The hotel is basic but there is a certain beauty in it. It sits peacefully back from the Kastro, which transforms at night into a magical labyrinth of bars, restaurants and shops which stir the senses.

Naxos itself is a joy. It has beaches that match any we have been to, a bustling nightlife, and our quad bike adventures into the mountains were fantastic.

We hope to go back one day. Thank you Dimitris and everyone else at the hotel.

“Loved the Anixis”

Hotel Anixis

Anixis is a beautiful hotel in the old part of town, a confusing maze of stone alleys, full of charming restaurants and... cats.

Rooms at the Anixis seem to be equipped with 4 poster beds and are decorated with period vases. OUr suite even had a living area with a chaise longue.

There is no television, which i personally saw as an advantage.

Our room had a beautiful view over the sea with a huge balcony. Honestly, you could have comfortably seated 10 people for a meal on the balcony.

Dimitris was the friendliest and most pleasant host you could wish for, even climbing up onto the room late at night to fix the hot water.

Downsides: Small toilet, easy to get lost in the old town despite signs on the pavement for the hotels. Breakfast was basic.

Excellent Value. Highly Recommended.
