The Naxos Royal is the best place to stay in Naxos. It is close to the beach and to town. The staff was excellent and friendly. I have been to other Greek islands, but Naxos is now my favorite!! We enjoyed eating lunch on the beach at Geroges. The hotel breakfast was very nice. This is a great place to stay in Naxos.

This is an adequate hotel in a convenient spot. The hotel is spotlessly clean, both the rooms and communal areas Breakfast is more than adequate. However, having booked our five night stay in March and requested a first floor room overlooking the garden area, we were shown to a ground floor room overlooking ..... a blank wall! We could not move as the hotel was full! We were told we could move on night three, by then we could not be bothered to pack and unpack again. The room was clean and comfortable. What did alarm us was the fact that the cleaners left the windows open after cleaning which gave easy access to our room for any passing chancer!! There were safes in the rooms but who keeps putting cameras etc away - something to be wary of. Our biggest gripe was the pool area, it only has 32 sunbeds with very limited shade. As there was a possibility of 180+ people staying in the hotel - that is very few beds and the beach, although clean and safe was like Benidorm and you had to pay to use beds and umbrellas!! We went to relax and enjoy the sun after sight seeing on other islands - not to have to get up and reserve a sunbed each day!! This is a pleasant enough hotel especially if you want a base (albeit expensive) to tour the island and easy access to the town in the evening. Not really value for money. The island itself is more family orientated than any of its neighbours.

The Naxos Royal is 5 to 10 minute walk into town depending on where you wish to go. Our rooms were clean and comfy with all amenities in the bathrooms and air conditioning in the rooms. We had a small balcony each room. The pool is lovely and the hotel is a stones throw to the beach. There is a pool bar and we had lunch poolside. Stephanos and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included with our room and was a typical Greek breakfast giving us plenty to start the day. This is a family friendly hotel and we did see singles, couples, families and older folks. It was quiet. The grounds are well maintained as is the rest of the facility. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

The hotel is near the St. George beach in the town of Hora in Naxos. It is about a 10 min walk from the ferry dock, but the hotel does offer a shuttle (3 euro/person). The rooms are smallish and the beds are average. There is a pool which is nice, and there are lounge chairs and umbrellas spread around it. The hotel had several staffers that had lived in the US so speaking English iwas no problem. All in all, there probably are comparable hotels for cheaper rates, but there weren't any negatives about our stay except price and the tight quarters.
