We went to Greece – Athens, Naxos, Santorini - from May 11th to May 28th. When we arrived in Naxos we had no accommodations booked. After going through the port rush, we went to the first travel info shop we saw. The lady there was very nice – we told her the name of a couple of hotels we had heard about – the first one was booked but the second one she called was Hotel Sofia/Galini (attached hotels) – we were quoted 40E which was great. Kosta came to pick us up in 5 minutes. Sofia is such a sweet lady – as soon as we arrived she insisted that we settle down with a glass of orange juice. She then took us to our room – we had a balcony that had a view on the sea on one side and the port on the other. The room was very clean, Sofia, her husband George and Kosta are all very nice and helpful. The hotel is within a short walking distance to the town, the port and the beach, and it has free internet in the lobby which is very convenient. On our last day, Kosta offered to drive our luggage to the port just before our ferry so we could enjoy walking around town one last time without worrying. And when we met him at the port, he said my husband had forgotten his jacket but not to worry because George was already on his way to bring it to us – very sweet of them. I would definitely stay at the Sofia/Galini Hotel again!

We spent five days at this hotel in June 2007. The hotel and rooms are extremely clean and the owners were very friendly. This is a great value for money basic hotel, the rooms are very small including the shower but the hotel is very centrally located for the beach, port and town. There is no pool but you are minutes away from a fantastic beach so to us that was no problem. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

This is our sixth time to stay at the Hotel Galini and Sofia Latina, and each time we have stayed longer. George, Sofia and Costas, the owners, are always looking for ways to improve your stay. George has now provided free internet hotspots in each room for your own personal laptop use. George has also now provided a free computer in the lobby, in case you do not have your own laptop, to check your e-mails, which is absolutely wonderful and very convenient. We have found that Greek yogurt is some of the best in the world, and we have it every morning with breakfast (along with ham, cheese, bread, jams, cereals, cookies, coffee, juice). This is a well run hotel, conveniently located to St. George Beach and the center of town. Rooms are clean and comfortable with balconies (most have views of the sea and the beautiful St. George Church). We would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a good hotel for travellers on a budget who just need a place to sleep and to shower. The location is within walking distance to both the beach and the town. Breakfast is provided but is nothing fancy. The room and bathroom we had were very small, even by european standards, simple, and bare. Everything was clean.
