Stayed for 11 nights early July – all inclusive.
Great hotel - one highlight was the helpful, cheerful staff - our stay started with a lovely welcome from Rebecca on Reception. All the staff- cleaning, waiting, bar, reception, animation, maintenance – always had warm, ready smiles and seemed keen to make our stay as relaxing and/or fun as we wished. It was my Husband’s birthday while we were there and he was delighted to receive a gift of champagne & beautifully fresh fruit delivered to our room courtesy of the Hotel.
We had a suite – fab room size as there were only 2 of us. The only downside - there was not much storage space (drawers/cupboards ) if you like to put things away - although the wardrobe unit was a very decent size with built-in hangers. Walk-in shower was great, lots of hot water with good water pressure. Room was kept beautifully clean, 3 linen changes during the 2 weeks and clean towels every day. Plenty of useful mirrors ie full length in the bedroom and large mirror in the living area in addition to bathroom mirror. Hairdryer was functional.
Hotel provides beach towels for 10 euros deposit (for pool area and beach) which you change as frequently as you wish.
Food was good. Breakfast options were pretty much what we have had in other hotels. Snack bar food was very fresh and appetising – all components to make hamburger or hotdog (burgers, sausage, bread rolls, fried onions), lots of salad choices, freshly cooked pizza and fresh fruit/desserts. Freshly made sandwiches, cake and fresh fruit served later in the day. The bar is open for hot and cold beverages. Alternatively, you can have lunch in the restaurant – plenty of tasty hot and cold choices. Similarly dinner options were appetising and varied (although some odd combination options when it came to vegetable choices with available meat/fish fare...) I can be a bit fussy with mass cooked meat and fish but all the food I had was cooked well, hot and flavoursome. Not a dessert person but they looked good and there were lots of fresh fruit to choose from. Chilled drinking water is served in a jug at the table and you can go to the bar in the restaurant to get a glass of wine/beer /soft drink.
Drinks were usual all inclusive selection of local beers and spirits along with some cocktails.
Pools (3) were a good size and comfortably sunny and warm. We had 2 issues with the pool areas though – they need to create another snack bar in the main hotel pool area. Also there are plenty of chairs and tables outside the main hotel but no parasols/shade and it got very hot. They could create more sunbathing options at the hotel pool by moving some tables and chairs away during the day and putting more beds/parasols there. This may free up some space in the pool area with the snack bar as it gets very busy. During our stay there were ‘Regulars’ who claimed their favourite spots quite early regardless of what time they were planning to use them. Particularly frustrating to see beds secured for children who were constantly in the pool or teenagers that didn’t turn up til late afternoon – usual circumstances for a busy family hotel though so it did not spoil our stay.
I would recommend the hotel for its staff, cleanliness, food choice and location.
