Expected a basic hotel due to price and 2 star rating.
Room was poor and although clean was very dated and all linens must have seen millions of washes the towels were so thin they couldn't dry! Could have shot peas through them!

However, Locality is excellent.

We had Half board but did not like the quality of the food in the hotel so after trying first night went out to eat locally every night thereafter. Local restaurants excellent and generally good value for money.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Did what it said on the tin... but don't expect too much and you'll not be disappointed.

we arrived at the hotel and when we saw our room we thought it was abit basic but after one night we started to enjoy the staff are great helena and her staff all work very hard to try to please every one towels were the only thing that needed renewed the food is good we stayed in the tucan last year and the food was not as good i would go back to antares and love calador such a lovely place to be ali

This hotel is a small and friendly 2 star right in the heart of Cala D'or with a fab location!!
The staff are brilliant and make you feel really welcome and if you have any problems just say and they will try their best to fix it. !! Elena the receptionist is a wee gem!!

Rooms - Basic, adequate in size, beds are a bit uncomfy but that is main drawback. Other than that very clean and plenty of wardrobe space.

Food - Good. There is a range of food every night and you always find something. On some occasions the chef made meals especially for some people (a lady broke a tooth and so she got a fresh omelette made for her as she couldn't eat the meal on offer)

Pool - Plenty of sunloungers and the pool is small but just enough for a dip to cool you off ! Although watch out, as some railings are a bit loose but I think they were going to fix them.

Hotel area - Inside reception area had plenty of seats and there is outside seating by the cafe/ bar which serves food too. Bit tired looking but again very clean.

Don't get me wrong this is not a luxurious hotel but its a great small and friendly option where everone gets to know each other and make their own entertainment !!
