I would strongly recommend English people to avoid this hotel, German guests were treated very well and yet I got a wave of the hand in my face as I tried to ask for the second time that the leaky sink was fixed as the bathroom was flooding, this was after having to ask for the room to be cleaned on arrival due to thick dust everywhere and most surfaces covered with someone elses hair, and cracked tiles and dirty grouting. German guests were obviously treated with more courtesy to the point of making me feel uncomfortable.
The food was poor,repetetive and cheap quality, meat in various shades of grey. no fresh vegetables yet they had (yellowing) cabbages and pineapples as decoration.
The 'entertainment' was last up to dated about 25 years ago, only the elderly felt it worthwhile staying for !
The airport is really close and it should be made much clearer to potential guests just how noisy the planes can be at all hours.
Nearby bars now cater more towards Germans, one was advertising for waitresses requiring fluent Spanish and German but only basic English.
The only good point I can think of is location and ease to take a bus to Palma and taxi rate to the airport.

Just returned from a week in the Apolo hotel Can Pastilla. It is a three star hotel and typically Spanish so if you don't like Spanish food then don't go, but the hotel is clean, rooms are clean and compact, pool area is clean and staff are friendly. Beach is a two minute walk, bus stop to Palma (No. 15) is a five minute walk. If you want four star then go to a four star as the reviews I read before I went were not very complimentary, but this really is a GOOD Spanish three star hotel don't expect any more and you will enjoy it. My wife and I really enjoyed it.

Stayed here for a long weekend. Peaceful and quiet location ( exept for airport noise, which realy wasent any troubles) Freindly staff. Good food quality. Exelent pool bar area, with beautiful sunsets over the sea...ALL IN ONE A REALY NICE PLACE...To all your party freaks... this is not the area.

We were put in this hotel as our hotel across the road was supposed to be fully booked. We thought we had gone to germany. The hotel staff were not very helpful and seemed to charge whatever they liked for drinks as we were not fully inclusive, the only entertainment we had was the use of the 2 pools and also the pool tables in the lounge, provided you could get on them for the germans. As for not noticing the aircraft noise the other person who wrote in must be deaf because you noticed them every single day and night!!!!! This holiday was a nightmare and although we all love mallorca we certianly will never go back to can pastilla again.
