“Very Relaxing”

Es Moli Hotel

16 Oct 2007

Just got back from a 4 night stay, got a good deal on Thomson as halfboard and found the hotel and the village very relaxing indeed.
We had a room in the annexe and though a lovely room, there are several flights of stairs to get there so if mobility is an issue for any of your party the annexe may not be the best place.
Breakfast was lovely, a huge choice, hot & cold and wonderfully fresh.
The staff are very friendly and the food was very good, some people don;t like to go half board and I am usually one of them but on this occasion for just the 4 nights I was pleased we did.
The village is very pretty indeed, as we were half board we ate in our hotel, though there were also plenty of eateries to choose form. There is alovely bar called Patricia's bar that is great for a lazy afternoon drink!

“a lovely experience”

Es Moli Hotel

Booked this hotel after reading reviews on TA all I can add is to say if you want a few days in a beautiful area of mallorca in an hotel with lovely , gardens, pool, views, public rooms , food and staff then look no further. We had a superior room/sea view worth the extra. From the time we checked in until leaving it was faultless. Thanks everyone at Es Moli.

“Twice in six weeks'”

Having really enjoyed a week stay in August we have just returned from another week at this super Hotel.
Location is superb with views over the coast from high up in the mountains, position and terraced gardens are spectacular and the views up toward the village of Diea , with the mountains as a backdrop ,are quite simply breathtaking.
Hotel faciltity, service and food were equally good (and good value) on both occasions .Main differnce being the general ambience of both the hotel and village , both quieter and sedate ,mainly due to the low numbers of the younger element.
Yes, the hotel is relatively expensive , but you pay for what you get and quite frankly it is well worth the difference .
Do not expect the bustling nightlife of the coastal resorts as this is not its purpose ....thankfully!
We should of course be saying that it was awful, to deter people from going ,in order to preserve the exclusivity of this hotel and its surrouindings .But that would be telling a lie.
See you next year.

We had a really relaxing week here. Caught an early flight with ba from Gatwick, travelled light (so no wait or risk with suitcases) collected car from Avis (no queue), and were soon in Deia. Hotel has a useful room to store bags and change so we were lounging in the beautiful gardens by 10.30am.

We had a room in the main part of the hotel with balcony with wonderful views across the valley and to the sea. It was restorative just to sit there either during the day or at night when the Church opposite is floodlit.

The room was typical Mallorcan style with dark wood furniture. Not the most modern but very well equipped, as was the bathroom. We had room service a couple of times in the evening after large lunches and that was fine.

The hotel's private rocky cove was a delight. Again well equipped with sunloungers, snack bar, toilets and fresh water showers as well as a snack bar. Good access to the sea via steps and excellent snorkelling. The fish restaurant just up the hill had delicious food though service was slow.

Food at the hotel was pretty good and the breakfast and evening dining terraces a real pleasure. We didn't really appreciate the food at the a la carte restaurant as we were troubled by wasps.

We loved the walk into Deia, the lanes and Sebastian's restarant. Not so keen on Cala Deia which has a tortuous access road and was too crowded for us.

We rarely return to the same place to holiday as there are so many places to experience. This was so relaxing however that we may well be back.

We have often stayed here, and find the gardens, and the hotel's situation beautiful. The staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly. During our last visit my husband had developed severe shoulder/neck pain. They found us an osteopath in Pto.Soller who treated my husband after normal working hours. The hotel staff even told us where to park in the port without incurring parking charges!
We found the breakfast buffet at Es Moli really good, and the food in the dining room at night had much improved. Our room was comfortable and quiet, the only noise we could hear was the local donkeys calling out to each other, but then we were early in the season!
One of the great joys of Es Moli is taking a walk on the many footpaths with Pepe Cruz (who works in Reception). You see parts of Mallorca that other visitors would never find, with a guide who knows the island intimately. Normally on these expeditions you will eat a good lunch at a place usually frequented by locals only! And that will be after your mid-morning alfresco break of bread, wine, cheese and olives washed down by chilled rose wine! These are experiences you will remember on the long winter evenings once yoy return home!
