Stayed here end of september 2005 for 10 days. Found apartments very clean and maid service 5 days a week. Got deal through Globespan for £270 for 10 days self catering and have to say very good value and flights were much better than expected.
Mixture of guests at apartments, group of 3 lads from scotland who embarassed the scottish name for 1st 2 days but think the whole pool cheered when bus came to take them home!
After this clientele were mixture of groups, couples, families etc. Also many German and Scandanavian guests but do not let this put you off as they are generally much more polite than the Brits.
Apartments are very central and just off the "Strip", this is good thru the day as 2 minute walk to the beach but at night you have to fight thru the "PR's" trying to get you into their pub/club etc.
Magaluf is great and great mixture of places to eat, we recommend "Boatyard" " Robinson Crusoe's" "Ness Bar" but the best restaraunt by far is one next to the Brittania Bar at other end of resort, unsure of the name (could be "La Pizzerie") but staff are class, food is outstanding and atmosphere is superb.
Best bar's are "Mano's" " Tartan Arms" and "Revolution" which is right at the steps to the apartments!
If not been to Magaluf before then you MUST go to "Pirate's" as amazing show and now been twice (although this year food wasn't near as good or as much as last year).
Overall would recommend apartments for people going Self Catering but next year we are pushing the boat out and going Half Board at Sol Jamaica possibly.
