I had the worst hotel experience ever at Montemar Hotel, 3 stars, Portals Nous, Palma de Mallorca. I was there for a week with my wife, and it was not a nice stay. The food is the same everyday, and very bad quality. We had half board, but we couldn't eat it. The head receptionist -Cristina, and the director of this hotel are offering the worst customer service possible. They are not helpful at all and their attitude is patronizing. I am surprised the receptionist couldn't speak English, as most of their guests are British. When we got there at night the receptionist gave us the keys and pointed out the lift, and couldn't give us any other info due to language barrier. The rooms are basic and depressing looking, and there are mosquitos at night. They don't offer any drinks in the evening, not even water so you would have to buy their own drinks, and they would charge you upon end of stay.
I felt unwelcomed the whole time. They kicked us out of the hotel on the last day, just after 12 in the afternoon, although we had a flight early in the morning the following day, and we paid for it. We had to lose half of the day and we had to go straight to the airport paying 35 euros and we had to wait 8 hours there, in hot weather and carring a big luggage after us. When I told the director and to Cristina - Romanian head receptionist there, that I would file a complaint, they said that I could file as many complaints as I wish and address them to whom I wanted, making me feel like they didn't care for us at all. They definitely need to go on a people's skills course so they can learn how to treat their customers.
