Just returned from the Vista Badia and we had a great holiday. The hotel is primarily German occupied, but that to us always means quality! We booked self-catering which proved to be absolutely the right decision. Apartments are spacious with twin beds in the bedrooms and two proper sofa-style beds in the lounge area. Have slept in more comfortable beds but have been in much worse. The bathroom was the same as the rest of the apartment, spotlessly clean and included a bath as well as a shower. To complete things, there was a large balcony overlooking the pool which was a real sun-trap in the afternoons - PERFECT! The pool is a good size and was cleaned each day at 8am. There was a policy of no towels on beds before 9am and any which were there were removed! The hotel is in a complex of 4 properties and we found the Badia was the best as the others were all very crowded around the pool whereas the Badia was more laod back. The Protur Club Sa Coma had good facilities for Kids and was only a very short walk away. The entertainment was mainly aimed at the German market although there were announcements in English. It was quite funny to watch but I wouldn't describe it as quality! We went out elsewhere, but that was the idea from the outset anyway. The hotel bar prices were the same as the bars in town and the beer good! The hotel does offer the chance to upgrade to all-inclusive on arrival but don't do it as the menus are definitely German based as they all book on all-inclusive as standard. Now to the English take - 80 yards away via the pool exit is the Kings Head English Pub. We ate here most evenings and the food was good and plentiful, almost too much so! They also did a good English breakfast for 4 Euros. In the evenings there were Queen, ABBA and Blues Brothers tribute bands and kids discos. Quality place and spotlessly clean. Sa Coma itself has a great beach which was only 5 minutes walk away via the shops and we walked round the resort and found that this was the best place to stay in our opinion. Basic summary, if you like clean accommodation close to the beach and aren't at all bothered by Germans in your hotel (which we weren't) then book here. If you want a British themed hotel go elsewhere, but you'd be foolish in our experience. Transfer time from airport was one hour. We rented a car for 38 Euros for a day and driving was very straightforward. Summary: Quality apartment, spotlessly clean, great location but slightly uncomfortable beds. Will definitely live with this when we visit again!
