We have just had a fab week staying at Lobos Bahia Club. My huband and I stayed self catering for one week (23rd-30th April). This hotel is in a great position, close to the resort centre. Our room (Room 2008 block A) was a one bed appartment and I can honestly say that I cannot criticise it at all. It was big (With a seperate bedroom), it had a well equipped kithcen area and a really nice balcony which over looked the pool area.

The pool itself is huge. I do however have to agree with other reviewers comments about the state of it. It is massive with plenty of room to sunbathe, but it is absolutley freezing. It almost takes your breath away when you get in. Not always the nicest feeling! Also there are alot of loose mosaic tiles on the bottom which do make it look rather untidy. I would say that while we were there lots of the kids in the pool who thought it was a game to keep unsticking more tiles. I'm sure this has not helped the situation! The sunbeds are not good also. Most if them are broken and very dirty. But if you want nicer beds you can use the smaller pool which is behind the second block of appartments. Theres also no loose tiles in this pool!

All in all I would definatley return to Lobos Bahia Club and I would recommend it to friend who have children.

We looked at trip advisor before going and having 2 kids upgraded to half board- wish we hadnt- we are both VERY seasoned travellers and the food was without a doubt the worst we have ever eaten- Our daughter is fussy but our son who will eat anything even moaned about the food- for a family based resort the food was very poor

The pool- we noticed that for over a year pple have commented on the temperature of the pool and also the loose tiles- we thought - 'this will be sorted by now' WRONG
considering FIRST CHOICE rep stated this was the largest free form pool in the island she also forgot to mention the COLDEST- we did wonder on arrival why when nice b;ue skies no one was in the pool- and its very deep- since when wwas a pool displaying no diving signs needing a depth of 2.4 mtrs????
The kids pool was slightly warmer but only knee deep and deadly with loose tiles- the comment from first choice- the hotel would not want to close and inconvenience guests to repair- as opposed to what??? slicing a childs foot open- as a qualified swimming coach i was appaled to see a 6 foot area near steps where the tiles had come away and bare concrete showing- to any families goin - please put your kids in swim shoes.
the cleanliness is good without a doubt and the place could be a goldmine- the food and resort is designed without a doubt for Germans - to which i have no issue with having lived their for 2 years, but going to a spanish isleand and the hotel serving AMSTEL???
the restaurant was like a morgue- again we wondered why but sampling the food showed us why
Shame as the place has bags of potential- Mind you a debate is now going on with first choice- who were not pbothered and sent very patronising email back

Just returned from 2 weeks of sunshine staying half board at the lobos bahia. 2 adults and 3 children, food was great, plently to choose from, maids cleaned and changed towells every day, childrens club was great for 4 - 9 year olds, two entertainment club girls were great with the children and provided good family entertainment in the evening. Staff very friendly and helpful. upper quiet pool was warm and kids pool was safe. Would return again.

Back to the lobos again! We had another fantastic stay there. Weather was great! We hired a car this time but booked it first with car autorisen an well glad we did!! it costed us 99euros for a week but if we would of booked one when we got there it would of cost us more then 150euros!! so book before you go! the lobos is still great its having abit of work done on it at the moment but nothing to major. We got the same room in block N i think it is the best block. Breakfast was lovely. We ate at the resturants in town la tran is very very good and loco poco is good to.
