For the money, I paid, it was absolutely excellent. Of course Ihave been to better hotels (but not on a package hols). However 'like for like'It was excellent.

Food = V good (for a buffet)
Rooms= Very nice
Staff= Mostly v friendly.

It is in a great location.Close enough to walk to town and on a quiet street.

My partner and I stayed 7 nights in February at the Arena Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis, our first visit to the Canaries. We were happy with the hotel. Our room and bathroom were spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean, although the decor was dated. There was ample choice of the usual fare at breakfast, with a "chef" preparing fresh omelettes, fried eggs, pancakes & bacon to supplement the ready cooked food in the warmers. All staff were frendly & helpful.
It is a 15 - 20 minute walk to the town centre, but in fine weather this can be along the beach, so very pleasant.
Our criticisms would be that the shower and toiletries were adequate but not of 4 star quality. The TV reception was disappointing, the only English language channels being CNN & Sky News. The pool area & sunbeds, adequate in low season, would be very crowded in a busier period.
Corralejo feels very safe and pedestrian and family-friendly. Wide choice of places to eat - we particularly liked the Patio restaurant in the town centre.

My husband and myself spent a week at hte Arena hotel and were very satisfied with the quality of the room and the very friendly staff. The equipment is lovevly with a heated swimming pool and quiet garden to take a rest or a meal by the pool bar at lunch. The room is large and clean with a lovely view. Be careful though, as we have noticed that some rooms have no view at all.

The restaurant is reasonable. Not much choice but fresh salad and fruit every day with a selection of fish or meat.

We certainly will return to this hotel if we go back to Fuerteventura next year.

My husband and I have just returned from a two-week stay at the Arena Hotel. The hotel is rated as a four star hotel and although it is good value unfortunately it is not of a four star standard. On the plus side the hotel is clean, well managed and very friendly, particuarly the management and catering staff. The bedrooms are spacious with good facilities. There are good leisure facilities and the sunbathing areas are adequate. The food in the restaurant at breakfast is excellent and in the main, dinner is very acceptable.
The negatives in the restaurant are that it is quite small, it is at times difficult to get a table and in the high season, they allocate dinning times for dinner, also, the dress code that requires gents to where long trousers is not adhered to and we found that men were dining in shorts and vests/t-shirts which is not pleasant to guests who make a point of changing and dressing for dinner. Unfortunately, this habit of not dressing correctly for dinner is becomming a regular event in many spanish hotels. The other problem maybe one of lack of space in summer periods. As we were there in the winter and the whole hotel was only a quarter full, there was adequate space but without a lounge and restricted space around the pools, I do believe that when the hotel is full it may become overcrowded.
Overall, a pleasant hotel within walking distance to the beach and shops and worth it's money.
