Loved this hotel - especially after reading some of the not-so-nice reviews about it. First time travelling as a family to the Canaries and staying in an apartment, so I was a bit hesitant about the standard - but I was very pleasantly surprised.

Hotel was great - when we got to reception and were greeted by the friendly staff I was happy. Our apartment was located on the ground level/pool level just across from the play area - great for us as we were travelling with a 4 and 2 year old! Pool and outdoor areas were kept immaculate during our stay.

Apartments were nicely furnished, very clean and modern as far as I was concerned (and expecting). Generous size tiled patio with furniture to the front which allows for relative privacy, sliding glass doors to living / dining area (however sofa bed could definitely use a better mattress for comfort); small kitchen with ceramic hob, hood, microwave and fridge included along with an ideal enclosed porch off it (great for beach toy storage) with two lines for hanging towels and swimsuits out to dry; double bedroom with wardrobe and bathroom tiled floor to ceiling with shower. We had no fault at all with the apartment (with exception of the sofa bed - which is definitely meant for kids).

Bar area very nice with sheltered outdoor seating area; staff friendly; music Monday-Friday. Restaurant - not a fan of, but I think our taste is very particular. Found several excellent restaurants on the main street - a 10 minute walk away. If you don't want to walk - just walk as far as the shopping center just over the road and there is a taxi rank there - costs E2.50 to center of the town.

Have to say, if I return to this island I would be hard-pressed to book another hotel as we enjoyed this one so much - and met some lovely people (repeat clients) there as well.

I was seventeen last year when i stayed at this hotel. I stayed there for a week with my mum and sister for a girlie holiday! My mum has always said im fussy where it comes to accomadation, but i have no complaints about this hotel! It is basic, but very, very clean and plesant. We stayed on a ground floor apartment right by the pool and our apartment had one room with twin beds and a pull out sette in the living room which was big. Kitchen had all essential equipment. Bathroom has a hairdryer which worked really well!

The pool was beautiful, very clean and was not over crowded even thought we went in august! There is a bar and snacks bar which serves chips, burgers etc by the pool which was very quite cheap!

There isnt much entertainment of a night but that didnt matter because you are onli 20 minutes away from the town which has many food places including chinese, an american bar, traditional spanish food, they cater for all! The bars are lively with a good atmosphere!

I was very also pleased that there is a shop only 5 minutes away from the hotel to get newspapers, milk, bread etc! You are within walking distance of the beach, but the best beach is at the other end (nearest the airport which you go pass on the coach to the hotel. That beach is amazing...crystal blue water and white sand! There are a few shops by it too. Only downpoint is that it is quite a walk from the hotel about half hr/40 mins. You can get a bus but to be honest we wasnt given much help with what bus to take etc and coming back it took us about 40 minutes to find which bus took us back!

Overall the beach is amazing, hotel very clean and pool brilliant - its always in the sun! Staff were friendly, maids came in every day! and the town is great for food and to enjoy the bars!

The complex is clean, quite modern yet traditional and overall very good.
Good points - Clean, friendly, long open hours at reception and bar, mixture of nationalities, big rooms, lots of outdoor space in 1 bed apartments, supermarkets and a few other shops near by, short taxi ride or 15/20 minute walk to flag beach which is the best as it has golden sand and clear water.

Bad points - Chilly pool (when the wind blows!), a good 10-15 minute walk from the main strip of bars and shops etc but the taxi's are cheap and don't rip you off - 3euros from the centre to the hotel, our phone didn't work and one od the doors was a bit dodgy staying locked but we were up on the second floor - they did try to fix stuff asap, very helpful at reception. The hotel is near the edge of correlejo so there is some building work or what appears to be run down derilict sites but there's nothing dangerous about it, just work in progress.

A slight lack of finesse but it is very clean and tidy and a good base for a relaxing holiday if you don't mind the walk or taxi ride.

Stayed at the Playa Park from 12th - 26th January 2008. We were in a studio room at the front no 122. Building work was still going on but it was not noisy, as they were working inside the building. The room was clean and spacious but did not have a balcony, that did not bother us as we only slept in the room. I am pleased I took my kettle with me as there was none provided but one could be hired from reception.The beds were changed twice weekly and the towels were changed 3 times a week.We were self-catering, but upgraded to half board for the special offer of 12 euros, that was for eat as much as you want breakfast and the buffet dinner. While we were there the buffet dinner was only on for the first 2 nights, as their was'nt many people in. So everyone had the choice from the ale carte menu for the same price.It was a 3 course dinner and the portions were very big, really good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the weather was great in the 20's. We had one 10 minute shower and a 5 minute shower of rain in the 2 weeks we were there. Oasis Park is well worth a visit, especially the camel ride which was hilarious climbing up a mountain. The beaches are beautiful, white sand and turquoise blue sea - heaven. Could have stayed longer and would definetly go back to this hotel.
