We have travelled to Corralejo many times, this was our 4th visit but this was by far the worst apartments we have ever stayed in.

The 1st apartment we were given was No 3. . This smelled of sewage, dampness masked by strong bleach.

It had sockets falling off the walls. We immediately asked for another apartment and were gievn No 1. It did not smell at least but every night my husband had to do a cockroach check, there were loads of small ones appearing in the bathroom every night , on the walls, shower curtain, towels etc. Not particularly pleasant.

Now the beds - well if you like lumps, mattresses covered by plastic and only have your sheets changed once a week then this is the place for you.

Food - we went half board and ate there twice ! - that says it all

There is very much a divide in this complex, between Los Alisios and Dunas Caleta which is supposed to be the one complex now. However, even the staff admitted that the Los Alisios is the poor cousin, ie no air conditioning, smaller apartments and very much in need of a makeover.

I will definitely not be going back to this place ever again. The only positive thing I can say is Gary the entertainments manager does a grand job.

Sorry folks but its better to warn you - unless of course you stay in the Dunas Caleta section!

Great place to stay, the staff are all really freindly and will go out of their way to help you.

The apartments were fairly spacious and had everything you could want, very impressed with the bathroom, shower was amazing!

There is a sister hotel where you can use all the facilities including the pool and snack bar.

The location was great too, it was near restaurants and shops and a short stroll to a selection of bars and nightlife. No noise could be heard in the complex.

Was thrilled when i read the reviews on this place before I went on holiday as it got a great review. One or two complaints about cockroaches but overall great reviews. My first impression was yes, nice place. Checked in with friendly receptionist and off to my room. From there on in it went down hill. Apartment old and dull but ok how much time would I be spending in it. Decided to go for a walk with my husband and within 1 minute of leaving my apartment I saw my first cockroach. A huge one. We had a meal at pool bar and as I was eating I saw my second one. On way back to apartment I saw about 5 more. In the morning these cockroaches were dead and about a million ants eating at them. I got the horrors it was so awful. Thanks to my rep with first choice/falcon holiidays. She got us transfered to the lobos bahia hotel/apartments which were fab and no cockroaches. So if you hate huge cockroaches do not stay at los alisios.

What can i say..... me and my wife had a lovely stay in this place. The first impressions of the hotel were wonderful. Greeted by nice receptionist and clearly explained to me where our apartments were. Arrived at our apartment and had a lovely patio area with table and chairs out front, glass doors, opening up to good size living room with kitchen at the back, plenty space. Bedroom and bathroom good size with plenty of cupboard space and mirrored wardrobes. I was made up as few reviews had said how basic it was and was expecting couple box rooms! Rooms very clean and good maid service throughout week.
Pool areas great, bar great, good atmosphere at day and at night, entertainment good throughout day, tasty beer on tap and a happy hour between 5pm and 6pm! What more can you want from a 'basic' hotel?!
Resort itself was fantastic, great restaurants, great shops, great bars. Very clean and friendly too. No yob element unlike other canaries. If you have got kids its ideal. Me and my wife are 27 and 26 without kids and like a good night out but this was still managed without visiting any nightclub, we had a blast. Couple of places to note are Slowboat 2 Chinese and s7even pints pub right across from it in a wee centre just off main strip.
Will definately be going back at some point, maybe in a few years with our first child!!!!!
