Five of us went to La Scala for a birthday. When we arrived we were told that the oven had broken and they may not be serving food that night. After waiting about 20 minutes we were told that the oven was fixed and were shown to a table. In the restaurant there was only one other group of people dining, which is never a good sign and also it was freezing cold. So cold, in fact, that we didn't take our coats off the entire time we were there.
The food was average and the vegetable bake I had contained lumps of uncooked pasta. The tiramisu was the only decent food that was served to us which I doubt was made by them. Afterwards I saw how it rated for hygiene on the council website and it had 1 star, the lowest possible rating. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant and I predict it will be closing down soon.
