“Nothing is premier. Except the price of the food !”
We have now stayed at this hotel on several occasions but the hotel has gone down hill very fast. On arrival the hotel is not looking very premier with all the paint falling off of the external Walls of the building. On arrival we were greeted by the most arrogant foreign manager who had a real chip on his shoulder. Approached our room and it was still not ready to be inhabited. In the room I am not sure how Lenny Henry can say it's premier as the bath is only about 4 foot long and like me I'm sure he is taller than that. Throughout the night the room temperature seems to drop a lot lower than the set 23 degrees, so much so that my newborn son came home with a cold !! Decided to have dinner in the restaurant, what a mistake this was !!! Missing dishes on the menu, NO CHIPS, AS THEY HAD RUN OUT ! Who ever runs out of chips ? There is even a shop 1 mile down the road. Then to top it off the alternative wedges were extremely undercooked, hardly edible. The steak I ordered was overbooked and the peppercorn sauce was missing. The peas were like bullets (very hard). My wifes burger tasted like it was off, so went back, we weren't even offered a drink in compensation. The breakfast:- fried eggs rock solid, bread either frozen or stale, clean cups filthy, cereal had no markings to suggest what they were. All in all a terrible experience, the premier inn need to sort it out. Swapping the male manager would be a start as the lady on our second night was a lot more attentive.
