“Consistently excellent food and first class service”

Good solid Bistro food, excellent service and very child friendly, a great mix.

The chef(s) has a real appreciation of ingredients and although a little over fond of salmon (Bouillabaisse has a lot of salmon, fish pie has a lot salmon, the daily fish specials tend to be salmon based) I can't recommend the food enough. The daily specials menus are well thought out and take into account the seasons produce alongside classic dishes on the fixed menu.

Service is exactly what you would expect in a good restaurant, none intrusive but always on hand, I can understand why others on this site see the service as being aloof however I think the ethos is to let the diner enjoy the company of whom they are with whilst being there to help. You are never left waiting and the food is nicely spaced.

Lastly if you have young children but worry about taking them to a higher grade of restaurant, fear not, the staff are very accommodating and will happily help with Children's portions.

We continually recommend this place to friends and family, a really great place to eat.

“I'd rather go to Starbucks...”

We eaten in Rushtons a few times to give it a fair chance. The restuarant is fine, but the manager/ or owner ( im not sure which ) is a miserable little man who i have , at times seen be really sharp and rude with serving staff. Perhaps we've just been unlucky. I think the food a little pricey, especially when compared with establishments like the Hoste Arms in Burnham Market which is excellent. Smoked Salmon and scambled eggs was nothing special at Rushtons, but at £7.95 was a bit steep. I had the cheese platter recently , but to be honest i've seen more cheese on a mousetrap. For on average, £20+ for a light lunch for 2 i'd honestly rather have a sandwich in Starbucks. Or go to the Royal Oak pub in Radcliffe which is just lovely.

I visited Rushton's Next Door whilst on a weekend away with my Husband. We had heard excellent comments about the place and certainly were not dissapointed. The menu choice was excellent and the service was top class. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was great. We are hope to get a group together so we can book the private dining room upstairs - looks great! Can't wait to go back! Thank you to the management and all the staff for making our evening so special.

“Fantastic Bistro, as good as any in London and even better.........”

This is a hidden gem, which we found recommended in a restaurant guide! Was a little concerned taking 5 children aged 11 there, but the menu sounded so delicious, us adults didn't want to miss the chance! Our worries were put at ease because as soon as we got there the manager stated he was happy to make anything simpler for the kids!
This was some of the best food we've had, and we have been to a lot of good London restaurants. Definately would recommend the lamb tagine, it was fantastic!
Definately worth a visit!!

Been several time now and always excellent. These people have assembled all the elements of a fantastic bistro. Last time I was there I sat next to two french lads who were clearly enjoying all the tastes from home.
I can't recommend this place enough.
