This place was cute, but a little run down, especially the common cooking area. But on the other hand, it was much more reasonable in price. and things were clean and cheerful. Five of us fit just fine in their big room. And we liked the deck.

It's walking distance to restaurants etc. But you'll need a jeep to get around to the beaches anyway. (Carlos Jeep Rental was fine.)

Great snorkeling, beautiful beaches, warm water - I want to go back to Culebra.

Overall, my girlfriend and I enjoyed our lazy getaway on the island of Culebra aside from our first night at Villa Boheme. The onsite manager had made arrangements for us to take a cab from the airport in San Juan to the port town of Fajardo to catch the ferry. The only possible ferry that we could take was the 7p ferry putting on the island just after 8p. We expected to check in without any problem but found at 8:30p or so that the manager had left. I phone repeatedly but could not get through. The other emergency contact was reached but he was in San Juan and could do nothing for us. We left our bags outside of the office and went to a couple of places until bar time (11p) and then headed back to Villa Boheme. The manager was nowhere to be found. We *slept* on a swinging chair until about 1a at which point it started to rain. We rearranged their patio furniture to better protect us from the rain. I also had to make a make-shift rain fly from a shower curtain out of their public bath near the dock. It wasn't until 3:15a that the manager arrived completely startled thinking we were squatters. After explaining who I was she showed me 1 missed call on her cell but obviously didn't bother to return the call. Nor did she have any calls from the emergency contact in San Juan. She apologized and offered a night for free and then took us to room 6. Suddenly, after entering the room and finding people sleeping, she backed out and closed the door. We were put in a different room and given three nights free. The free nights is the only reason why I did not rate Villa Boheme as downright terrible.

Villa Boheme is a nice looking and a clean small hotel. It’s very quiet and the view on the bay is beautifull. There is mxany kind of room (kitchen, 2 or many peoples, etc)

Just beside the hotel, there is a nice restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There feeding big fish (1 meter) and it’s very impressing.

Very basic accommodation (no TV or phone) but we liked it. The outside communal terrace/dock is very well appointed and has great views of the bay making it a perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach. Its location is also great with a 5 minutes stroll to anywhere in Dewey.
Very acomodating staff.
