My husband and I stayed at Sharp Rock B&B for a Valentine's Day weekend. The experience was great! Jimm and Kathy, the owners, hit the perfect balance of hospitality and privacy. The B&B is really individual cabins on the property - we stayed the Carriage House. A stay at the B&B comes with a wine tasting and a bottle of wine from the vineyard, and warm pastries/muffins and fruit every morning. Each cottage also has tons of treats, coffee and tea, and board games. The cottages were very comfortable (we stayed on a cold February weekend and were perfectly warm and comfy). And always hanging around are the great wine dogs, who will make you feel very welcome, especially if you happen to be eating a meal at the time. The area itself is great - only a few minutes from the Old Rag parking area and very close to the Thorton Gap entrance of Shenandoah National Park. In Sperryville, which is only a few minutes away, there are art galleries and antique stores if you like browsing those. Its truly a place to have some great wine and get away - there's no cell reception, internet, or TV in the cottages (3G is available if you drive into Luray or toward Warrenton). Overall, a very romantic setting and a really great time! We highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!
