This is a great place to stay. Clean rooms and very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean as well. Really liked the "no smoking" in all the rooms. This sits high on top of the hill and the view was simply beautiful. You can not go wrong in booking this place. Probably one of the best places I have stayed in a long time and the value was awesome as well.

This hotel is a little ways from the interstate, set up on a hill. Don't miss the driveway which curves way around to the top. Very clean and friendly at the front desk. Commented that the place looked brand new, but were told it was 9 years old. We had never stayed at Microtel before so we weren't expecting the room to be so "compact," but I guess that's why they call it "Micro"tel.

The king bed was comfortable, with 2 night stands, a small table and chair, and a fabulous padded window seat with a beautiful view of the mountains. The mirrored walls made it appear larger than it was. It was a little awkward to watch the TV, which was mounted almost to the ceiling on top of the wardrobe.

This was the only hotel that had an internet connection that was strong enough to be "excellent", but we could not connect from our room on the second floor. We had to go down to the lobby, which was mentioned by a previous reviewer. The free long distance was nice, and although it just says to the US, you can call Canada for free as well.

8:00 couldn't come fast enough...the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies were definitely worth waiting for!!! Delicious!

After reading the reviews on tripadvisor, my husband and I decided to stay at Microtel while hiking the Shenandoah trails. It was very clean, inexpensive, and located by several restaurants. The room was small, but fine for just two people. There was a bathroom with one sink, a queen bed, desk, TV , and small dresser. We only paid $133.00 for TWO nights! And the added bonus is at 8:00 every night, they bake cookies for the guests.

Very nice clean 2 bed room unlike the previous Microtel hotel which was a 1 bed room and very crowded. Would been an above average stay, except the sink was broken off on one end from someone sitting on it. Disgusting! Very nice motel overall.
