My husband stayed at this hotel for a few nights in early December 2007 and loved it. He was given a free night voucher during his stay, and we utilized this voucher together in early January when we were back in the area.
This hotel is definitely the best kept secret in Dulles! We were one of just a few guests at the hotel during our stay, and my husband said it was the same way when he was there the month prior.
The hotel is modern and classic at the same time. The lobby is almost 5 star quality - very sleek and sharp looking. The color scheme of the hotel is one of the nicest I have seen - not too many colors or crazy designs.
Our room was great. There is a large flat screen tv in the room that received over 80 channels. The bed was comfortable (though the pillows went flat as soon as you put your head down), with a great, soft comforter. The bed is on the hard side, but not uncomfortably hard.
The bathroom has a glass shower with no door - the glass comes across about halfway - very modern. The shower head comes down from the ceiling and is large, so it feels as if you are standing under a rain shower. The soaps and shampoos were very, very nice - I can't remember the brand, but they were much nicer than average.
There is a free breakfast in the morning where they have someone who will make you a made to order omelet. They have everything else from bacon and sausage to eggs to french toast to fruit and yogurt.
Staff was very friendly. We did not interact with them aside from our check in and check out, but everyone smiled and was very polite.
Overall, this is an excellent choice - probably the best in the Dulles area. I don't know how long it will last before everyone starts to figure out what a great place it is. I enjoyed the peace and quiet while we were there - not sure if it will be like that in a few months though!
