I am not one to tour a dead multi-ga-zillionaire's old home but I have to admit that this old mansion and grounds is something not too miss. It was interesting to learn that 99% of everything in the home is original and from the Rockefeller’s glory "Williamsburg" days in the 30's and 40's. Everything is set just as it was when they lived there (this was their home mainly in May's and October's). This tour is very nostalgic if you were living in the day.
The tour takes about 30-minutes or more depending on the length of time spent on the grounds. The tour guides are sweet ladies from the area. The admission is included in the $39 admission to Colonial Williamsburg, which includes all the Williamsburg's day activities, museums, old government buildings (like from the 1700’s, duh) and all performances. Or just $10 bucks if you only wish to visit the mansion and museums.
Side note on Colonial Williamsburg: $39 is well worth it for the all-day activities and American history lessons. Just do it!
