I had two occasions to be traveling up on I-81 in Winchester this August. The first time, I was with my son and his friend, and we found a coupon for the Travelodge in the highway coupon books you find at the rest areas. The rate was VERY reasonable, so we gave it a try. We found the room to be very clean and the beds comfy! I needed to have wi-fi, and this place offered it free...YAY!! All the entrances are INSIDE, which keeps the noise level down, and we had a quiet night's sleep. We overslept for the breakfast, but I was able to sample it on my second stay.

My second stay was 2 weeks later when hubby & I were on our way to PA for a vacation. Based on my first experience with this Travelodge, I recommended this to hubby, and again, we got the coupon from the coupon books at the rest areas. This time, we brought out small, aging dog, and as they are PET FRIENDLY, they gave us a room on the ground floor. Again, I used the wi-fi. I thought breakfast was wonderful!!! Hot or cold cereal, biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, toast or waffles, bananas, yogurt, coffee, milk and juices...what more could you expect for free and at the low rate from the coupon??? Our sleep was restful and quiet.

On both visits, I found the staff very friendly and helpful!! This is not a "high scale" luxury hotel, but it is GREAT for the average traveler, and I would highly recommend it to any traveler...and don't forget to stop at the rest areas for those coupon books!!

We were traveling I-81 and stopped at the Travelodge for one night. It was wonderful. I grew up stopping at the hotel on family trips and so we decided to see how it was now.

First of all the location is wonderful! Right off I-81 and lots of great places to grab dinner. Plus you have a microwave and fridge in your room for leftovers! There is also a mall on this exit.

Second, FREE INTERNET - WOOHOO!

Third, the room was very, very clean and the bed was comfy. Nice furniture and a very clean bathroom!

Additionally, the continental breakfast was excellent! Fruit and everything!

Great place to stay when you are traveling I-81.

Room was average. The beds were nice with nice bedspreds, blankets and sheets. The bathroom you could tell had been upgraded within the last couple of years. The Carpet was in rotten shape. Didn't even want to walk bare foot on the floors, especially near entry way. The desk chair had a big stain or water mark on the seat. The other chairs in the room looked in good condition. Would have rather spent $20 more to have a nicer hotel. Pool was nice and looked clean

Honored discount coupon on a holiday. Pulled off the highway on New Year's Eve and found the staff to be friendly and happy! Room was warm and cozy with awesome quality sheets.

We, too, stayed here four nights for dog shows, but since it was our national specialty we got a special rate of $60/night! The room was large and clean but terribly dark. The maid was extremely accommodating considering how may schnauzers she had to contend with! The continental breakfast was better than most--included hard-boiled eggs and cook-your-own waffles. We were on the first floor on the wing near the pool which was very convenient with a dog. We did not notice any interstate noise.
