A disastarous stay on the way to Myrtle Beach. TV did not work in first room. When given keys to 2nd room, keys did not work. While lying in bed, another person walked into teh room, she had been given key to stay there. Killed large bug on ceiling and brougt to night manager, he whispered that he'd knock $5 off the rate. Ridiculous ! Tried following up with regular manager who apparently doesn't come into work all that much. You can do better elsewhere.Issues never resolved.

Grossly overcharged on Canadian to US dollar. The owner charged approximately 16% more than the current exchange rate. The rate in effect at the time was 1.1325 and we were charged 1.397. Since we did not have a calculator at the time and were quite tired, we simply checked in and went to bed. Upon reflection, we discovered the discrepency and have written to Best Western to lodge a complaint.

Roaches!!!! We've stayed there a lot over the years. It was recently remodeled but the contractor should have been fired. The work was poorly done. The last few times we stayed, there was something that needed fixing at every visit. Our most recent trip this past weekend, the room we had not only had a broken sink faucet and missing toilet paper spool but the room was infested with cockroaches. We checked out after one night and changed hotels. The hotel clerk didn't offer to comp the room and, in fact, didn't seemed surprised or even concerned. No apology offered. Hopefully none of the bugs got in our bags and came home with us. I'll never stay there again. So sad that management cares so little because this used to be a very nice place to stay with all the amenities at a reasonable price.

This hotel is a 50's vintage motor inn. Although it stated it was remodeled with internet beware, because it is not in nice condition and the internet only works in a few rooms.

The mattress was firm with excellent pillows.

There was plenty of hot water, and the drains worked very well. There were not any rails to help people in and out of the tub. Our bathroom fan did not work, and neither did the smoke detector.

The TV worked ok and included HBO.

The rooms include a fridge, microwave, iron, wood hangers, coffee maker, and hair dryer. It was very hit and miss they would work in your room.

All room included stains on the carpet and doors that are uneven and hard to close.

The staff is neither helpful nor knowledgeable.

I would highly recommend that you find another motel. There is a Super 8 and a Red Roof Inn close by for only slightly more money. This hotel is not up to Best Western standards.
