the RI is located adjacent to a Courtyard and a Fairfield (also by Marriott) in east Bellevue. It is geared toward long-stay business travelers.
If you're not familiar with Residence Inn, it's a little like staying in an apartment; you have your own separate outside entrance, patio, etc. There's a very usable kitchenette with both a small table and a bar seating area, a separate seating area for watching TV (with a small sofa), and then the bed on the far side of the room. It's a lot of room for a family traveling on vacation, and is definitely a nice change from the usual small roadside motels. It's about 75% bigger than a standard budget chain room.
The decor is not fancy, but of course clean. Everything in the room (towels, toiletries, sheets) feels pretty mid-range to budget level. No problems at all. By the time we reserved all that was available was a queen bed. It was a little soft, but fine. The AC worked well. Lots of channels on the cable TV. The shower had weak water pressure. There is moderate room noise from upstairs and from the outside 'hallway.'
One drawback - we asked for a crib in the room, and when we arrived at 11 pm the crib was there - but not set up. It took about 10 minutes to do that, which wasn't a big deal, but it would have been nice if it were ready.
The grounds are nice. There's a pool, hot tub, garden, patio, basketball court, and small tennis court. Breakfast is served at the main area and you can sit outside to eat if the weather is nice.
Breakfast is very good. Fresh Belgian waffles, breakfast burritos, eggs, cereal, oatmeal, home style potatoes, fruit, yogurt, muffins, croissants, and bagels.
Friendly staff. Free newspapers.
Good value. I would stay here again.
