Arriving was a pleasant surprise after a cross country road trip. The hotel has a somewhat dated look, but very clean pleasing to the eye.
Check in went very smooth and the staff there should be commended for their outstanding customer service. I booked a double kitchenette suite for a very reasonable price online. I was very impressed with the size of the room and the cleanliness of the suite. The cabinets were well stocked with everything one would need to be self sufficient there. Small stove, but a regular sized refrigerator...nice.. The continental breakfast each day was quite a spread. One that would be pleasing no matter the preferred taste or diet. The view of the Bay is beautiful and the grounds there are well kept. A lovely gazebo for outdoor peace and quiet overlooking Oyster Bay. The maid service and all personnel were very, very friendly and went the extra mile to please. The beds were comfortable and we had a small balcony. The area was quiet at night and most anything could be in walking distance. Also, there was a shuttle service to take you to the airport (SEA)at any time with just a call to schedule. At $18 pp it was a great deal and my son didn't have to drive me an hour to the airport at 4am. nice perk!!
While we were there it was Thanksgiving, the hotel offered a full course Thanksgiving dinner and more, complimentary for the guests. I left very happy and well fed. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area. Especially parents with children in college there!! You can treat them to a home cooked meal and have a wonderful place to stay.

As I pulled into the parking lot I was entirely underwhelmed. The exterior is very dated looking (the hotel is pink or peach with green trim....picture it). The lobby does nothing to change this impression. I met a few of the staff members in the lobby and they were outgoing and friendly. Then I was told I was in the other building downstairs (odd, inconvenient and somewhat creepy).
The room has dated furniture that has been very well maintained, but the age is very apparent. Room has a 27" Zenith, good sized fridge and a microwave. Internet access is wireless and slow...really, really slow.
Overall I would say if you had to stay in the area and couldn't get into the Hampton Inn or have the time to stay in Seattle and take the ferry over daily...then the Oyster Bay Inn is better than some of the other choices.

  • Liked — Close to work location.
  • Disliked — Lack of outlets by desk...internet speed.

Nice, clean room with a great view. Pretty large room. Furniture was somewhat dated, but comfortable. Mattress was newer, and of a good quality. A very small balcony, and a decent ( for a motel room ) quality TV. Very fair price for 2 adults.

Would consider giving the Oyster Bay Inn 5 stars if they had in room coffee. A hairdryer, microwave, and fridge were all furnished, as was an ironing board and iron, but for some reason no coffeemaker was furnished in the room. They did have a free continental breakfast downstairs, but I am one who requires coffee before facing the public.

I loved the Oyster Bay Inn. My room was large and clean, with a small balcony overlooking the water (1st floor rooms have the view but no balcony or patio). Fridge & micro, table & chairs, iron & board, desk & internet. Large bathroom. Not new & fancy, not run down, but homey & comfortable with a comfortable bed. Large grassy back lawn for my dog to exercise on, leading to a small beach. Very friendly & helpful staff made me feel at home. Free continental breakfast buffet with large selection of cold items and toaster waffles. Elevator. No pool or spa. There was a smoky smell in the halls outside the smoking rooms only.

During my stay I stopped in to look at the Silverdale Beach Hotel, which I had also considered. It was very large and busy. Newer, much fancier, better view, VERY small room, noisy & hectic. They do have an indoor pool & video game room. I was so glad I had chosen the peaceful & quiet Oyster Bay.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. After checking 3 rooms and finding the sheets dirty in everyone of them we opted to get "clean" sheets from the staff and make up our original room. They did not even offer to have the staff do it and offered no reduced rate for having to do our own housekeeping. It was getting late and we were road tired or we would of left. The other people staying there partied in the hall till 3 a.m. and it was run down and dirty every where.I have been to europe and traveled alot in 54 years and this was unbelievable. The management was willing to move us all night till they found something that looked clean but, seemed unconcerned about this issue.I believe they do not wash their sheets for a money savings.I kept my reciept and should I develope anything in the next months I will be contacting my lawyer.
