Stayed here for 2 nights in Sept. '08 to do some hiking and sightseeing in the nearby national forest area. The hotel is new (only 3 months old) and very clean. We were able to check in early, which we appreciated after a long drive on some scenic but very windy roads from Lewisburg, WV!
Our room (single king) was a very good size, with a microwave & frig. The bathroom had a nice big vanity. We had a room on the "front" side of the hotel, which provided a gorgeous view of the mountains.
Plenty of excellent breakfast choices were provided: hot foods like eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and cold cereals, danish, muffins, bagels...and also yogurt and fruit (including fruit salad). I like this about Hamptons--there are always those non-carb, "healthy" options. There's the "To Go" breakfast bag too, which is great to grab on the run.
We didn't use the pool/whirlpool, but it looked clean. The pool itself is small, which seems to be the way many hotels are going now. The fitness room was very nice. Along with cardio machines were plenty of free weights.
The staff was friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
