Can't go wrong with this Fairmont. It was moderately priced, clean, and comfortable. The staff was cheerful and efficient and the breakfast was good. This is a well run and well maintained hotel - just what we expect from Marriott.

I travel all over the country and need a wheelchair accessible room with a roll in shower. This hotel got it right. The room was spacious, everything within reach, and with a large bathroom. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. The accessible room was on the first floor (this is not always the case at other hotels), has an adjoining room, if needed, and the facility was very clean. I watched staff go to lengths to clean areas and rooms. Other hotels should look and see what this one has done for those who need accessible rooms and model it. I had a great stay! Kudos to the builder, the management, and the staff.

My husband and I stayed at the Fairfield Marriott in Fairmont, West Virignia Labor Day weekend. The hotel was very nice and the continental breakfast was a very good deal. The reception person throughout the week was a great. She was very personable and helpful. However, the staff on the weekend was not. Our room had a problem with the hvac and made the room extremely musty to the point that my husband got very ill and upon our return home was put on antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection. I had asked the weekend reception person to check the hvac unit, but no one every came.

There was a Bob Evans restaurant, Super Saver supermarket, fast food restaurants, and a Wal-mart about 2 minutes away.

It is located right off of the highway. Two exits going toward Pennsylvania, there was a Golden Corral restaurant and an outside mall with TJ Maxx, Dollar Tree, Best Buy, Olive Garden, etc.

Other than the mustiness, the hotel was a good deal for the extended weekend.

A very nice room for a very reasonable price ($79.00 with a AAA discount). My job involves moderate travel, and this is by far the nicest room I've had for the money. The room has a separate living area with very appealing architectural details, a large screen TV, sofa, chair, cd/stereo, microwave and fridge. Very clean and nicely decorated, with ample lighting (including accent lights built into the 'entertainment center' and over the bed's headboard. The king bed is in a separate area with its own TV. The bathroom is quite large for this room class, and very clean. I do not know if all the rooms in this hotel are laid out like this one (#318), or if I just got lucky. In any event, I'm a very happy camper tonight!!!!
