Red Roof has been aggressively updating its hotels nationwide, and it's about time - a LOT of the franchise owners seemed to be just coasting, not knowing or caring whether people enjoyed their stay or even came back.
This Red Roof has always been a notch above that attitude, but it was starting to look pretty tired. Now that most of the rooms have been updated to the new corporate standard, they are pleasant when you enter them, there is space to get things done and the furniture is a lot nicer. The lobby area is much more welcoming too.
All in all a much more pleasant place to stay, and quieter than the Comfort Inn in front of it.
