Business service (e.g., internet access)Another OK motel. We went there because of a deal in a booklet we picked up at WVA tourist info. Room had fridge and wireless internet. Hotel is near freeway and chain restaurants like Shoney's where we went for breakfast (ate dinner at a downtown Chinese restaurant that seems to be a local landmark - there is also one more upscale restaurant downtown and a couple of local downscale ones). Only problem was the double beds in a room which have rather bouncy mattresses - hard for two people to sleep in and be sure they will still be in bed in the morning!

I stayed at this hotel on as I am a government contractor and it was the only hotel that still had government rates available. I developed a rash while staying at the Martinsburg Days Inn and visited the doctor after a few weeks when the rash didn't go away. The doctor has suggested that the sheets at this hotel must have had some ringworm on them and I contracted it on my hand.
As you might guess, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. When I called Days Inn's national assistance number, they didn't even take my name or offer me any kind of condolences; only a quick "call them not us" response.
The Holiday Inn next door is freshly renovated and much, much, much nicer.

Two minutes from the Interstate and two minutes from the mall, this is a pretty standard Days Inn. It's location was very convenient for a stopover. Room, including continental breakfast, was $62.
We'd heard of a small local steak restaurant chain called Hoss - and there was one 5 minutes away up the Interstate. Good value meal. Good steak.
Other restaurants (Cracker Barrel, Pizza Hut, etc) are within walking distance of the Days Inn.
