this Holiday Inn was filthy. I was initially given a key to a room that had not been cleaned. The room that i stayed in was filthy. The sink and shower drains were both stopped up. The telephone was dirty. The carpet looked as though it had not been vacuumed. The following morning i could find no one at the front desk to express my complaints to.I have stayed in this Holiday Inn before but will not do so in the future. I have informed Holiday Inn Website of this horrible stay.

We stayed here one night on our way back from Tennessee. I had booked it a few nights before arriving. We booked a 2 room king suite. I was pleasantly surprised. I know they are undergoing renovation so it seemed like alot of the things in the room were brand new and the decor was very nice. there is the microwave, frige and nice bathroom very very clean and then you walk into the living room area with pull out sofa and what looked like a new 20 inch t.v. in the next room was a private king bedroom with privacy door. Again the decor was very nice and new looking. The king bed was the most comfortable bed ever, it had a pillow top and duvet cover. this room also had what looked to be a new t.v. 20 inch. The airconditiong was awesome and controlled with the thermostat which worked all the way into the bathrooms which meant no foggy mirrors when I stepped out the shower to put on my makeup. This room was pretty spacious and allowed enough room for my 3 kids to move about and have their own space. Best of all was the price of $129 for this room, definitely well worth and the cheapest we paid through our whole vacation for a 2 room suite. You will not be disappointed with this room at all i highly recommend it if you have a family. There was also a burger king and a great Japanese Restaurant within walking distance. My 14 year old watched my 2 little ones so we could have a dinner by ourselves and it was great. She preferred to have burger king so we picked up BK before we got to the room for her. The pool was an olympic sized pool. The hotel like I said was going through some construction but nothing that got in the way of our stay here. It seems like it is going to be a very nice hotel once they are done with their renovations. I was very pleased with this place. Dont hesitate to make a reservation here.

We stayed at this hotel for nearly two weeks on a business trip. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation; however, the guest rooms are all brand-spanking new and just lovely. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and style of the furnishings, bed linens, and amenities. That said, the rest of the hotel is pretty much a mess, although functional. One problem was the ventilation system, which at this point, still allows cigarette smoke to travel from smoking floors to non-smoking floors; I never realized that so many people smoke in the middle of the night! There was also inconsistency in the quality of housekeeping, reportedly because of a change of management in that department. The nicest surprise of all was the hotel's dining room, which is named Heatherfield's. Both the service and the food were well above average, especially for mid-range hotel food.

“Wonderful Stay!!!!”

Even though there was extensive renovations going on during my 2 night stay, I was very pleased with the experience. My room was great although getting there meant walking down a bleek hallway with drywall spots and wall paper construction. I had just what I wanted: Microwave and fridge. My room was a bit pricey, but has a beautiful King bed, and 2 person jacuzzi that was awesome. I did not use the restaurant or lounge, I think it was closed. The pool was great. Fitness center closed. The staff is friendly and polite, and every one helpful-all of them. I will definately return-SOON ! Very clean and pretty rooms.

We just returned from a 2 day stay June2006.
This hotel is being renovated--actually they are building a new hotel and connecting it to the old..
The room was super--super comfortable bed, clean. Service was great. The kids loved the two pools. There is a fitness center that we did not use (too tired from kayaking). There is a resturant but we did not use it It is close to a mall and all kinds "big chain" eateries.
The only complaint would be construction clutter--the ceiling outside the room had exposed wires/ductwork etc.It did not bother us in the least

We used this hotel as a base to explore Harpers Ferry/whitewater rafting and as a starting point to the Shennedoah Valley.
We paid 99 night interent rate (extra $5 to have reservation that could be changed if needed)
We would stay here again!!
