My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and were pleased with it's comfort and cleanliness. We slept great, shower was with good water pressure and curved shower curtain rod. ( I hate being touched by shower curtains!) The outdoor heated pool was clean and relaxing after a day of whitewater rafting on the beautiful New River. There were towels available at the pool as well. I would definately stay again. Although we did not bring our kids along this stay, we plan to in the future. The property is also pet friendly as long as you book a pet friendly room. Continental breakfast had a nice variety: cereal, doughnuts, yummy biscuits, gravy, boiled eggs, belgian waffles, oatmeal, bagels with spreads, fruit, yogurt, coffee, juices, milk.

We stayed on the 18th of july 2008 with a group of biker friends.
There were 13 people with 9 bikes. What we didn't know was that there was a LARGE group of 8-10year old girl softball teams. It was not just the girls but families also. Not that I mind kids but we were not told of this when we booked. They had obviously booked before us because we were scattered all over the property (not a problem either) The problem came in when we wanted to take a dip in the pool. It was totally overrun with kids. We asked the management if when they closed the pool to the kids, if we could have a little time to swim or just sit around the pool. No way! They could not do that. Also some of our party had to change rooms due to kids running up and down the halls until about 11 - 12pm. Like trying to sleep in a "daycare".
The rooms were nice and the price not too bad, and ameneties good and the breakfast was good. Property management need to have better control of the situation. We had consideration for the kids and would have like the management to have a little consideration for us.

We stayed at this Comfort Inn twice in March 2005. It is very easy on/off Hwy 19. Going to Myrtle Beach we had a room on the highway side and traffic noise was terrible all night. On our way back, we asked for a room away from the highway and it was much better. We had a very comfortable night. Thought the rate was a little pricey but considering the number of Canadians travelling this route in March, it was not out of line. The pool is outdoors. There is a Wal-mart across the highway which is convenient. Restaurant selection in the area is adequate.

The Comfort Inn in Summersville has been our overnight stop travelling to and from Myrtle Beach over the past four years. The rooms are small but clean. A swipe card is required to get into the hotel and into your room. There is an iron & ironing board, coffee maker and hair dryer in the room. Ice is free from the ice machines in the hallways and there are some vending machines.

The best part of this hotel is the heated outdoor pool - they keep the water at 80F or above and it is very comfortable for swimming in, even if the weather is cool. The pool is in a courtyard surrounded by the hotel.

The hotel offers a free continental breakfast which includes, fruit, cereal, juice, milk, coffee & tea, muffins, hot chocolate, toast & bagels, yogurt, pastries and waffle grills to make your own hot waffles. The breakfast room is small, but well equipped.

There is a large Walmart and Lowes across the highway and plenty of restaurants close by (Pizza, KFC, Taco Bell, Friendly's, Applebee's, DQ, Burger King, etc.). The desk staff at the hotel are efficient and courteous. The rates at this hotel are very reasonable. The rates are cheaper during the week than on weekends. We have booked on line with no problems.
