We stayed here on the recommendation of others on TripAdvisor and were glad we did. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, the common areas clean and very nice. It's also very quiet. I agree with others on TripAdvisor that the room decor is VERY dated, it's like sleeping at my grandma's house. Because of that we really didn't want to hang out in the room other than to sleep there, but there was so much to do in the area that we wouldn't have hung around in the room anyway. That said, the room was extremely clean and well kept. Oh- and the shower head was set so low on the wall that as a tall person I had to crouch down to wash my hair...

I would like to thank the reviewer for posting a review!
We truly appreciate feed back of all sorts, and do our best to address any issues that our guests have.
Perhaps a place that is cozy, comfortable and relaxing, with caring people there to see to your every need would describe a stay at Grandma's house as well as the Village Green Lodge. I guess we don't see that as a bad thing.
Our flower arrangements in the rooms are all silk flowers and not dried, as was mentioned. We think they add a touch of color and class to the room, and they are never dusty.
We are very aware of the "short shower" issue and are in the process of replacing all of the shower heads with adjustable hand held units. I will be posting pictures of these in the near future. These things take a little time when you "do it yourself". Again, thank you to the original poster and we look forward to seeing you again and giving you a chance to try out the awesome new showers!

Our stay at the Village Green Lodge was very relaxing.The innkeepers Steve and Sue made us feel like family and that we were the only guests there They were interested in our every need and gave us wonderful advice about where to eat and things to do.The breakfast they served was the highlight of our stay.Everyday they served a different hot entree a friut dish and bakery item.Everything was homeade and from scratch. We will definately return and recommend it to family and friends.

The rooms were decorated nicely with cable AC soft towels and very comfortable beds.There were also cozy armchairs and adequate lighting for reading.There is a pool(too cold when we were there) pretty gardens and great birdwatching.

My girlfriend and I went for a stay over a long weekend and had a wonderful time under with the hosts Steve and Sue. We felt immediately at home and welcomed when we arrived, the rooms and amenities were cozy and comfortable, breakfasts were truly incredible, and Steve and Sue were always willing to take a moment to help us with suggestions of places to visit and make reservations wherever we were heading for dinner.

Ephraim is a great town too, away from a lot of the hustle and bustle of Door County with easy access to Fish Creek. The lodge itself is a 2 minute walk from the lake, and nestled in a beautiful wooded glen.

Highly recommended!

“Super Stay With Steve and Sue”

We had a real enjoyable stay at the Village Green Lodge. The owners, Steve and Sue Sherman, are really special people. They keep the Lodge and all the property first class! The morning meals are out of this world! Also the 3:00 mid afternoon tea goodies are treats that you will remember.

“Perfect Getaway from Reality”

My girfriend had been here once several years ago, and recommended we go. It was literally a last minute planned trip, booked the suite; which we highly recommend, and made the 4 hr drive north. Beautiful drive, wonderful scenary, and perfect location for a B & B. Less than a 3 minute walk and you're on the coast :)

Sue and Steve were fantastic hosts, and made the best breakfast I've had in some time. Great rooms, wonderful setups with the bed behind a privacy wall, huge whirlpool tubs, great fireplace, and new flatscreen tvs.....every guy would love this setup! We will be back this late Summer!

Don't pass on this cozy B & B!
