The overall rating is above average for the waterpark feature! The other features were average.
My family and I just stayed at the Rain Tree Resort. We went to the resort for the waterpark experience, and we had a blast at the waterpark. It had 5 smaller slides for youth, 2 big slides for teens and adults, tunnels, water basketball, floating devices with hanging ropes, and a hot tub. The waterpark made the hotel!
However, the other ammenities and attractions for the hotel were lacking. It is a highly used resort and the wear and tear were evident. The elevator showed signs of aging. The rooms were clean, but needed updating. Even so, I felt like our room satisfied our needs for a winter getaway.
The check-in time is really 4pm and not 3pm like it is stated on the website. If you come at 3, you may go and enjoy the waterpark. Thankfully, the waterpark only caters to registered guests.
The cafe was not open during our visit. The hours were not posted either. The lounge on the main floor was open. Vending machines were not available on each of the floors. We did not mind this inconvenience because we went out to enjoy the town's restaurants.
I would highly recommend this hotel for the waterpark. If you are not going there to swim, I would pass on it.
