Our family of 17 (10 adults, 7 children, ages 2-12) just returned from our three day stay in the spacious Entertainment Loft. What a great stay!
The pictures do not do this place justice. The price can be a bit hard to swallow, especially in the high season, but it was worth it. Our 5 different family units were spread over three floors, and the space never felt crowded.
There are two master units, one with a king bed, and the other with two queens. The remaining 3 bedrooms, each with two queens, have a bathroom located in the hallway. There are also separate sinks outside the bathrooms. That is five bedrooms and five bathrooms, sleeping space for 18 without using a couch or the chairs in the lower level.
The entertainment level (lower) housed a pool table, fire place, wide screen TV with theatre seating for 6, dart board and full bar.
The living/kitchen area on the main floor was more than adequate for the amount of meals we prepared there (mainly breakfast ).
While it is true that the condos are a bit of a walk from the park, the shuttle was very prompt in escorting us to and from our room whenever we asked. We never waited more than 5 minutes. And if the weather is nice, it is only about a 10 minute walk from door to door. (You can do most of it inside the resort if you desire.)
The condos overlook a farmer's field, and our balcony provided a great view. Our condo had an adjoining unit, so in theory, you could rent both sides to house a group of 36! The adjoining unit was occupied during our stay, and we never heard them through our walls. (Nor did they complain that they heard us!!)
The water park experience was great also, but very crowded between 12-4. Three days worth of resort guests are in the water park during those hours.
On check in day, you should be able receive your arm bands at 12:00. I suggest arriving in your suit and NOT taking a locker. The locker room was overcrowded. Keep your valuables in the car, use towels from the hotel (which are around in great quantities), find a chair, and have fun.
The rest of your days you will be allowed in the park an hour earlier than the day guests, and seating will not be a problem. I would suggest securing your spot before 10:30am.
We left the park from 1-3 each day to avoid the crowds and get out of the sun. By 6:00pm many of the arriving guests are in their rooms, the departing guests have left, and the water park is virtually empty. This was the best time for us to take advantage of the short lines. (Early in the morning was a little cold for me, but not my children.)
On the day of our departure we didn't leave the park until 5:00. Once again, the locker rooms were very crowded, and a little messy from a full days use, so we opted for not showering at the park.
If we had to do it all over again, I would reserve the E-Condo for a large group.
If I was just going with my family of 4, I would do the following:
1. Book 2 nights in a modest room
2. Arrive check in day at 12:00pm and enjoy the park the rest of the day.
3. Day 2... Arrive at the water park area around 9:00 and enjoy the park until 1:00pm.
4. Return to the park after 5:00pm.
5. Check out day arrive at the park at 9:00am, enjoy the park (leaving during the busy time if you wish).
6. If you are more than a few hours from home, move to a cheaper motel in the Dells the night of check out day.
