This place is a Joke... do not stay here. Upon arrival to this hotel we were like is this place serious. Hotel staff dressed terrible, wore same clothes all three days we were there (christmas t-shirt and windpants). Made us pay before we saw our room, had a sign at the front desk saying absolutly no refunds (we should have known why). Got to our room to find it nasty and dirty (we didn't even know if we should sit on the beds). Upon check out i decided to check my bank account balance got charged for an extra room, tried to fight it and the hotel manager yelled at me and called me an idiot, I was like are you serious, then i got home and noticed another $155.30 charge to my credit card. Still have yet to refund my money. THis place is honestly the worst ever. I didn't know that cheap meant no servcie, standards or cleanliness.

Made reservations on a Wed. had familiy emergency and called on Thurs to cancell for sat. visit. Was then told had to give 1 weeks notice to cancell. Explained that I only made reservations the day before therefore did not have a week and was not told this when made reservation. Was stiil charged for the room even though filled a complaint through cheap hotels.com their listing company and with credit card company. Manager and owner was very rude and insulting!!! Would not recommend this to my enemies. (note date stated for stay was just to make a required field work as we did not stay there!)

hi dear...i just need to tell you about the service of the rodewayinn hotel in wisconsin it was so terrible i was there with my wife and be honest it was absolutely up side down and i repeat that it was up side down and i mean by that the hotel wasnt clean was so dirty whyyyy?? we are paying money to stay and have fun in clean place and it wasnt looks like as they shown in the pictures specialy in this website [--] 1630 wis.dells pkwy/hwy 12 wisconsin dells,wi 53965 just to make sure and tell you that the hotel iam talking about it ....... the peaple who was there in this hotel was peaple who take cear of this hotel and was there only one family thats all what we see there and they were living there so i feel sorry about them because if those peaple stay there be honest they will lose thier business very soon and i mean that and they will shut down the hotel just because of peaple complain and we saw couple peaple they already complain...and i will say what i saw there and if you dont beleive me just go there and tell me what did you see there and send me email please.(1)the hotel was sooooooooooo dirty,, the bed was so dirty ,,the bath was very dirty and it wasnt clean specialy the toilet was so disgusting ..and (2) the pool was so dirty and the jacuzzi wasnt prepaer to ues it ...and (3) about the breakfast we didnt see any breakfast include it...thats all about and i guess these are very importent things for visitors and be side that all they didnt even clean the room the time we were there ...is this is what we paying for,and is this is what customer deserve that ..the only thing can change this nice hotel the service of management..thank you very much

We arrived at the Rodeway Inn on a Friday night with our printed confirmation from the website in hand. They had no record of our reservation, although the Choice Hotels reservation line was able to confirm. They did not have our room type available, and only had two rooms left. The confirmation did say they'd hold the room until 7AM the next day, but they hotel never got the information. We should have left at that point, even knowing that there probably weren't any rooms available at other hotels.

The hotel is old and not well maintained:
- The hallway carpets were black with grime;
- Several light fixtures in the hallway were out or broken;
- One main door to the outside did not fully lock;
- The towel bar in the room had fallen from the wall;
- The room furniture was quite beat up;
- There were two electrical outlets in the whole room, with power strips and extension cords running to things;
- The satellite TV worked intermittantly.

We don't know if the room was cleaned during our stay, other than making the beds. Towels were not replaced, and it took 15 minutes standing at the front desk to get new towels. The office was not staffed (at 10:30PM) and they did not respond to the buzzer.

We decided not to tempt fate with their breakfast...

We also were not charged the correct price for this room. We'll be working directly with Choice Hotels to get this corrected. The room we had wasn't worth what we paid for it - if you're quoted more than $30 per night, you're getting shafted.

This place was quite possibly the worst hotel I have been to, and should be considered an embarrassment to the Choice Hotel chain. Go somewhere else if you're in the Dells. Even if it means renting a camp site and buying a tent at Wal-Mart - it will be better than staying here.
