We went to The Dells on a whim to see the fall colors. Renaissance Resort & Spa was just what we wanted. On Lake Delton to enjoy the views and close to "the strip" for food & night life - just a short walk if desired.
This is a nice place if you want a condo in the Dells without the hustle & bustle of the large resorts that offer condos and waterparks.
The housekeeping seems to be standard for what I have experienced staying in a condo type setting - here's the good part - you can sleep in with out the "housekeeping!" knock on the door!
Only one small complaint...we stayed in the Hog Alley Suite. There is a microwave, toaster, fridge & coffeemaker but the the kitchen utensils were lacking. One (plastic) wine glass, the coffee cups, plates & cutlery were disposalble plastic being washed & re-used. No creamer/sugar for the coffee. No glasses/cups in the bathroom for water, etc.

We have stayed in several condo hotels and were surprised by how small the condo was. It was smaller than some suites we have stayed in at chain hotels. That with the lack of maid service and having to lug heavy suitcases up to the second floor made it less than ideal. The price was not in line for the lack of service and the size.

On the positive side we loved the view from the balcony.

Our New Favorite!

We have stayed in lots of nice places but this is the best! The Renaissance spared nothing to make the Penthouse (#314) special. Our extended family loved our stay in this 4 BR condo which is bigger than our home! It was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. It is easy to have two (or more) families share because there are two master suites and a total of four BRs (3 and ½ baths). The view of the lake was breathtaking. We loved cooking in the gourmet kitchen and had great fun with the upscale appliances...my first time using a warming oven. Now I want one! Thanks to Benjamin, Amy, and Trace for making our stay so pleasant.

My fiance and i just stayed in one of the Dream Theme Suites for 3 days. First off, let me just say that the customer service we received from Benjamin, the Head of Guest Relations, was top of the line. There was an unforeseen issue with the shower in our room and we had to switch rooms and Benjamin made the room switching process almost enjoyable. He toured us through all the available units and ultimately made sure we had everthing we could possibly need. Thanks again Ben! Sidenote the fact this happened around 9pm and Benjamin was off the clock at 4pm. All of the Themed suites we toured are amazingly decorated and we look forward to trying out a few different ones in the future. Heads up though, housekeeping is not included with your normal room price and is only by request. Maybe i didnt pay attention enough and read enough during the reservation process, but sadly i didnt realize it wasnt included until the second day when they naturally hadnt shown up to clean since i naturally hadnt called to request it. Maybe im the oddball but i've never heard of a hotel without houskeeping included so i never thought to ask. When i asked about it I think they told me it was like $25 bucks a day dont remember for sure though. Overall, i would recomend staying here.
